Haha my sister didn't like them, so I told her it was like looking at a real life Zoidburg from Futurama.

Woo, Peter Kay is in the next one, which confuses me as it'll make it funny but I think he's a monster. Ah well, a lighter one would be a good idea after last Saturdays (scary Devil)

Though I know I'm late, I can't help but pay my respects shortly to what may have been the best Doctor Who episode of all time. I really thought that it was quite clever, and the Satan bit was pulled off very well.

Next episode looks interesting... especially since the Doctor will NOT be in it. I wonder how they'll do Doctor Who without Doctor Who. It's odd that there's a famous comedian in it... last time they started doing cameos, the show sucked. I hope they do a better job of it next time. Sadly, any episode will look flawed in comparison to the Satanic thriller we just witnessed, though...

I thought the episode with Simon Pegg was pretty damn good.(The first episode on the News Satelite 5. He played the Under Editor.)

I was referring to the series in the late 80s. At that point, they pulled in cameos to try to influenceviewer ratings. At one point, the show was done so poorly that the cliffhanger at the end of an episode was literally the doctor spontaneously falling off a cliff. At the beginning of the next episode, his assisstant helped him up and they went along their merry way.

yep, it's come a looong way.

I haven't caught many episodes of this show (which I used to write fan fic for years ago); but I did catch "Parting Of the Ways" last Friday. The regeneration scene was - different (hey, Time Lords don't mes around anymore), but I'll have to see the first episode of the new Doctor to see if he acts strangely until he settles into his new body.

Cliffs were very sneaky back then. You'ld be strolling along when BAM! A cliff would jump strait at you and coax you in to falling of it.(Or in the Case of Cliff Richard bugginf yuo to buy his albums.)

The best Low point for Dr. Who was the Candy man who looked like Bertie Basset. T'was most hysterical.

Really? I could have sworn I saw him in the adverts for it. Still they pulled off an episode with Rose mostly out of it.

I don't think you can compare other episodes to The Satan Pit as its stands out as something quite different to what they usually do.

If I remember correctly, some kid on Blue Peter designed a monster that has to appear at some point. Wasn't it a blob of some kind? No offence to the kid, but others were far more creative.

Haha would you believe I just watched Blue Peter and it had said child on it. That absorb monster will be on Saturdays episode, and its Peter Kay playing it. The Doctor is most certainly in it too (they showed clips).

Small edit note: oh boy
