Yes, it has finally happened, a Dora the Explorer thread has been started!!
Come all lovers of the show a like, don't be afraid to show affection of love toward Boots and only Boots!! and other characters!!
I mean, ya'll do it for Ed, why not Dora? tongue.gif
Personally, this is probably one of the best things to hit television, especially directed at younger children. As much as it's fun, children actually learn from it, which is pretty hard to find in a TV show lately, unless it's on The Discovery Channel, or something.
Any other Dora lovers? *Looks around*

Oh yes!! Another reason why this is great; n00bs like me who have spanish roots but over time have forgotten simple words and phrases in the language learn from Dora. Also it can be used to learn different Languages! I think they have this French Dora in which you learn English.

I have a kid who just adores Dora. I've taken him to see some of the live shows too. Although, I like Dora, but I'm liking Diego more, and it's not really all that educational. Well except for the learning spanish part, and he usually forgets what he learned right after the show. Disney's Little Einsteins is way better, as far as education is concerned. Dora and Diego are a lot more fun to watch. " Backpack, Backpack". tongue.gif I love that song!

I'd rather see a cartoon that teaches spanish children to speak English correctly. And maybe spanish adults.

Dora the explorer? This show's song is like...tenth or something in the top 50 in France <<;

Never watched it. The singing dolls really amused me though.

But I'm more into Hamtaro! biggrin.gif

'Buffy and Angel had gone out before and Buffy wasn't really comfortable talking to Spike and Angel at the same time, because now Spike and Buffy had been going out for 6 months and Buffy was afraid that Angel might tell Spike that him and Buffy went out, but it turns out that Angel had told Spike that they went out, Spike was heartbroken that Buffy never told him that they went out, so Spike broke up with Buffy to get back at her for not telling him that Angel and Buffy went out.'

It may teach Spanish and counting, but it teaches poor life lessons. What kind of things are kids gonna learn if they think they can stop swiper just with "Swiper, no swiping."?

"Rapist, no raping." Don't think that's gonna work out too well.
