I have a quote from Vic...
Now that Fullmetal Alchemist recording is over, we are putting the finishing touches on the FMA movie, which is scheduled for release October 3. My attention is on several new series I am working on, the biggest one being ADV's Macross. I am playing Hikaru Ichigo opposite the one and only Mari Ijima. She played Minmay in the original Japanese version twenty year ago and is reprising her role, this time in English. Cool huh! Don't miss it.
Seeeee.... he even says its relesed on October 3rd! HA! *POUNDS ON THE KEY BORD* I was right! ph34r.gif

Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking on here for months, I finally had something worth posting so I finally registered today. I just found this information about the DVD release of COS this fall. The infomation comes from a listing on a wholesale site (www.aaaanime.com for those that want to know). There will be a standard release for 29.98 and this limited edition release I have posted the details for below, for 49.98. Both are listed with a street date of 9/26/06:

The movie you’ve been waiting for is here! Taking place two years after the last episode, The Elric Brothers must reunite to prevent ultimate catastrophe as the worlds of reality and alchemy collide. Coming to theaters and DVD in September!
DVD includes:
- Reversible cover
- Movie booklet
- 40-minute documentary - “The Making of Fullmetal Alchemist – The Movie” Filmed on location in Tokyo with director Seiji Mizushima and staff.
Bonus DVD extras:
- 54 Minute Interview with Japanese Cast and Crew
- 3 Audio Commentaries
- 2 Japanese Staff Commentaries
- 1 US Staff Commentary
- 3 Minute Extended Trailer
Special Collector’s Edition includes:
- 64-Page Hardback Book
- Ten 5x7 Portrait Cards
- 2 DVDs – Regular Edition DVD and Bonus DVD

Interesting that they plan to release it in theaters and on DVD at the same time, or at least the same month since I don't know the exact theather dates.

Well, I hope this information is useful to everyone! smile.gif

Why on earth don't they say whether it will include the subtitled Japanese audio as well as the English dub? Or does that go without saying?

wouldn't matter to me if the american dvd includes no japanese track cuz i already own the legit hong kong dvd. but i will still double-dip for this, regardless.

seems like this fall will be double-dipping season for me.
FMA movie, Scarface.....please...no more double-diopping!

My apologies if this has been asked before. Since the DVD of the movie has recenlty come out, is there a boxset/special edition of FullMetal Alchemist due out at some point? Because I would gladly wait before buying the FMA DVDs if there was one coming out. Does anyone know?

@Triss Hawkeye - The one I know is FMA Premium collection that came out in Japan and including FMA ep 1 - 51. plus the movie. I don't think it come out in the U.S. though (yet..)
Some othes asked the same questions, so you're not the only one wondering about it. ^^

If we hear any news on DVD release, it would be posted on FMA DVD release news thread. smile.gif
