Never needed glasses; the military says I have 20/10 vision. However, I am now night-blind. Did anyone here know that if you have night vision goggles on and an IED explodes right in front of you, you lose your ability to dialate your pupils properly?

Just got glasses. They take awhile getting used to.

After my federal tax refund came in, I went and got new glasses, my first new pair since 2001. This year, I had to go with bi-focals, but they are progressive no-line bifoacls. So they look like single vision glasses. The frames are brown, and thicker than my old frames, plus the lenses are rectangular. The clerk at the Wal-Mart Vision place said these are very trendy. So I hope rectangular frames don't go out of fashion soon because I'll have to stick with these for a few years! They were hideously expensive too. I bougt hclip on sunglasses to go with them because they were cheaper than Transitions coatings.

I switch back and forth between glasses and contacts. More on the glasses side lately, because I'm on my last pair of 2-week disposable contacts and my prescription's expired, so I need to go see my optometrist before I buy more, and I just have no time to see him...so I've been rationing those two weeks lol. I think I've got about 7 uses left.

I wear glasses mostly.

Though I've considered getting contacts for cosplaying...but I can actually see without my glasses (just objects far away are blurry)

Heh, I just came back from getting fitted for contacts. They're a little strange, but I'm getting used to them (my eyes are kinda dry right now).

I'm pretty much set for AX now. Cosplaying should be fun, especially since I won't have to deal with my glasses during the con (except at nighttime).

It took me like 45 minutes to get my contacts in for the first time laugh.gif and an equally long time to take them out...but I love contacts, they're so much easier than glasses. Yay. Except when you get a piece of dust or something stuck under them :/

I need to schedule an eye appointment to get a new prescription though...I'm out of contacts and my glasses are a few years old ^^''' my eyes are probably very upset with me...

Yay for corrective lenses! biggrin.gif

After wearing glasses for 13 years, getting contacts was a change. It took forever at first for me to get them in and out. But I like them. I still wear my glasses though, because I like them too.

I wore glasses for 10 years and I went through three pairs of them. The first pair broke in half, yeah at the bridge of the nose. The second pair I got rid of because my prescription worsened, and I have a third pair but now I have contacts. That was a big change for me! The first time I put them in I felt like I had laser surgery since I didn't have that familiar feel of glasses on my face. Now, I mostly wear my glasses at night.
