^^ @armor-alchemist - I think "Kurara" might be Psiren (a.k.a. nurse Clara) in ep 10?? biggrin.gif

And, yeah, I agree that the pic on Annelili's post above is Shiraishi Miho san, could be doing the recording for FMA. Not Arakawa-sensei. biggrin.gif

OOPS, it should be SHIROISHI, not Shiraishi... my bad.

@Tombow: Oh right, it's Clara. XD I would take out episode 10 to double check but... I am too lazy XD Well I can't think of anyone else with a similar name as "Kurara" then... it should be Clara. XD (You see, in the blog it doesn't even say what she voice acted for... it's the wikipedia entry that says "kurara".)

and I am 100% sure it's Shiroishi Miho, since I just finished watching Densha Otoko 2 weeks ago (it's a Japanese drama.)

Hmm, BONES' journal? That somewhat makes sense. Mind showing us the link?

The novel's afterword refered to Arakawa as "him." I wonder if VIZ just made a big mistake?

By the novel, I mean The Land of Sand, by the way.

I think Arakawa is a women becasue that is just wat her name sounds like biggrin.gif

Ummmm...
@Panda_Battle - We've gone through discussions on her name on this thread already, but in case you haven't read (For those who had seen my posts before, forgive me for reiterating part of one of my posts again ...) tongue.gif

I could be wrong, but IMO, Arakawa-sensei's pen name, Hiromu, is not particularly a female sounding name.
It's not particularly a male name niether. It sounds more "gender nuetral" to me.

(It's variation, "Hiroshi" is tipically a male name, while another variation, "Hiromi" is rather a female name, thugh it can be a male name.)

As far as I Know, Arakawa-sensei's pen name, "Hiromu" COULD BE a femal, or male name.
Though it isn't particularly a common name, niether. sleep.gif

But, of course, if someone can show me the Japanese National sensus or something, showing otherwise, then I'll gladly retract my opinion. biggrin.gif

Another reason we know Arakawa is a female is she draws herself as a cow. There is no such thing as a male cow. tongue.gif

...Yet she draws herself as a cow with horns. Only male cows have horns.

Actually, I think all cows have horns... Tho, male cows (called BULLS) have bigger horns.

Yep! that's true.
Some cows (it depends on the breed) have got horns.

Oddly enough, I think I can guess which breed Arakawa-sensei's famous cow drawing is... laugh.gif
I can't remember the spelling, but it starts with H, and end with something "stein" or something, and it's the bleed for the Popo's first cow pic (on post #127).
And, I bet it's also "dosanko" (regardless of the bleed, it's a cow born in Hokkaido, Japan.) biggrin.gif
I think it has horns, or the two bumps on the head, which aren't that noticeable.

Geeze, did no one else hear the stupid story in seventh grade science? Well, here, I'll share it.

Okay, it's called selective breeding. Farmers mostly just shaved off the horns of the cow before, so they wouldn't get stabbed and stuff, you know? But then here along came the mutant cow born with -dun dun dun- NO HORNS! So this one famer's like, "cool, I don't need to shave its horns off." Then he realizes that if he goes to all the other farmers and buy their mutant hornless cows/cattle/bulls, he can breed a whole herd of hornless cows/cattle/bulls! And thus everyone thinks cows have no horns (whether they're born without it, or they're shaved off).

THE END.

So, all cows have horns except the mutants. Humans just come in and mess everything up.
