Oh god, I can't wait until that fad is finally over. One of the morning DJ's here was saying if guys came to school like that back in his day he would first get pantsed then someone would kick him in the ass.

To bad kids are so different now a days. tongue.gif

There are girls wearing flip-flops in the rain,

Actually, I'd do that, too, if I could ever walk properly in flip-flops. Puddles soak my shoes and make them smell, and it takes a few days for them to completely dry. I run out of socks quickly during a rainy week.

Protection of the shoe rather than the foot. It serves its purpose, no?

Oh, I agree with the baggy clothes. It's time to bring back tight jeans dammit! mad.gif

i don't agree with that..

a - i don't need tight jeans that will suffocate mr. johnson and the boys....
b - i'm a big fan of baggy pants, as they are very comfortable... but the key is to make sure the waist is the right size, or you have a belt... if it were socially accpetable i would wear those bushido pants everywhere.

You should!
You live in NY, you could get away with it. If nothing else you might start a trend. tongue.gif

Yes, yes I know. There has been much speaking out against tight jeans but what can I say, I'm a great admirer of the male posterior. Besides, tight pants on women has come back into fashion so it's only fair.

Like I've stated before, I love eyecandy!

Mini, the problem is, there's not guarentee that all of those who wear tight pants deserve to wear them.

Hito, you could try wearing comfortable sweats? If you want to go for the japanese flair, hakamas are hot too.

Has anyone noticed that everthing in the supermarkets have "Now faster and better!" or "In only two minutes!" or "More quality, less time!" labels on them? Everything is faster, requiers less time, which is pretty sad. Thankfully, they haven't figured out how to speed up the standard three-min Ramen.

Thanks for putting that image in my head.

it was said in the berlin newspapers one month ago that 25% of the americans are "over-weighted"(means fat)........ and i asked my friend who was in new york for one week if it's true..... he said that it is true and you can see it on the streets, and it's terrible......
maybe the white americans get to lazy... everything shall be made without effort etc.....

Oh no that's true.

We are the fattest country. Most here are lazy, inactive and eat tons of junk food. The fast food business is booming and showing no sighns of slowing down anytime soon. Not only that but often times on the go it's difficult to find healthy food that is quick. You might get lucky to find a deli that sells somewhat healthy food but mostly you're limited to fast food.

When I was on the road with the sideshow it was very much like that. Mostly we ate at truck stops to grab something to go and the healthiest thing was usually something like an egg salad sandwich.

It's more like Americans in general are obese/lazy. It's not like all the other races are walking around all slim and trim. I'm actually suprised that it's not higher than 25%. I think that a lot of over-fat people will go on a diet and if they don't lose 20 pounds in a week they just give up, get depressed and head to the nearest bag of ho hos. Then there's the no carb diet which says it's ok to roll a hot dog in bacon and then replace the bun with a butterflyed pork chop... very healthy. rolleyes.gif
.....end rambling.
