Unique my ass. You can't buy torn clothing, or tear things up yourself and call it art. My three months of near-solitude and I come back to this? Stupid high-school theatre, both dramatic and tragic but mainly idoitic. There are girls wearing flip-flops in the rain, which was funny to see them wear such footwear and complain about the cold and and see their faces as I bitch-slap them into scilence. Armwarmers, legwarmers, and torn fishnets. Wtf? And guys with their oversized clothing and tasteless piercings. I can't stand piercings, I always get an urge to rip them off. To be continued...

Being unique today is kind of an oxymoron. People laugh at me for wearing clothes that have gone "out of style, like, ages ago", but ironic enough they can't see they're exactly the same as me. Just add a 'personal touch' and viola or so they think.

I'd sooner be nicely warm (I get cold very easily and it's not fun - stupid Dutch weather) and comfortable than to look good.

stop!! ohmy.gif your english is very hard to understand for me,.... your writing is almost like an english poem.......!^^^^
but i think i know what you mean... ->mainstreamm....... hmm.. is it soo bad at your place? no! resist!! pls continue to resist, thieves! *ggg

hmm..... mainstream........ isnt it seducing for you sometimes, thieves? or was it never?

most of the students i'm together with aren't as rich as they could buy themselves expensive or fashion clothes or that they would even bother with such problems......

if i see a beautiful girl with fashion clothes(mostly beautiful because of these clothes), i have to immediately think that inside of her heart it must be very dark(meaning she might not be very intelligent)..... -> that's how attraction changes into contempt at once inside of me....(an automatical reaction which is bad if you want to make friends...)

@Bacon:

He writes and spells better than some (ok, more than a few) of the native speakers on the board.

Well what do you expect now-a-days. Punk has fully gone mainstream and big business, being "alternitive" is now become a fad instead of meaning you do things outside of the norm, and everyone and their mother is tattooed and pierced. Plus, it is now the in thing to be a weird-o even by people who have no idea what it means to be regarded as a weird teen.

I don't even know if there is truely such a thing as an alternitive lifestyle anymore.

Oh, I agree with the baggy clothes. It's time to bring back tight jeans dammit! mad.gif

As for Zoisit's English... I find it hard to understand what he's saying far too often.

Americans no longer understand that the good things in life require effort, love, and postponement of immidiate gratification.

I often like old clothing, they give off a comfortable/nostalgic air. And durablility and effeciency always comes first, usually.
QUOTE

For about six years of my life. And I still might be, but just haven't noticed it. Oh and might I add that bagging on mainstream is becoming quite mainstream too.

That's the attitude, optiminsm never usually works, you just work yourself up for disappointment.

You live in New England right? I'm guessing it's not too ethnic there? Where I'm from, if you get your message across, you're good. That sometimes requires no words, just hand gestures and eye language.

QUOTE

Not as young as I'ld like to be.

Oh and tight jeans? No. Just no. Going from one extreme to another. What happened to appropriate clothing sizes.?

Don't you want to pull up their pants, sometimes? I would rather not see that.
