It honestly depends on the series

I actually liked the FMA anime better than the manga thus far, but the Yu-Gi-Oh manga is sooooooooooooo much better than the anime, mostly because of the better and far darker storyline in the manga, and the same goes for Naruto. Although the anime and manga are almost identical for Naruto, I've always liked the manga better. Shonen Jump is what got me into anime and manga, so i tend to like the manga better in most cases, with the exception of FMA.

Manga- it's cheaper and it's the original. Nothing's better than the original.

I love the art work because they have a lot detail like the character hairs, clothes, etc. and anime don't sometime.

I like manga better... easy access, faster to download... cheaper to buy and collect... good to show off ^^;;

And my belief is that mangas usually have a deeper story and better plot development than their corresponding anime... I mean... I believe FMA does too, even if the anime was good too.

Of course, there's no music in mangas, and you'd really need to use your imagination sometimes to try and conjure up those amazing scenes, but the amazing artwork tends to make up for it.

I honestly love the Manga more that the anime because I like picturing how it will turn out when it ends on a cliffhanger, anime they give you a preview a lot and it just spoils it, plus manga goes further, and has a lot more humor. In most cases

I agree with Chopper Enthusiast

In my opinion it really depends on the series. With some, I think they do better on the anime. But with others they do way better with the manga. Like, for Fullmetal Alchemist, I enjoy both the anime and the manga. Sometimes they aren't very descriptive in the manga, but they are in the anime or vise versa. And other times, they leave out a lot of things that was originally in the manga and change some things. So, I guess I enjoy both, depending on the series.

I agree with Chopper Enthusiast and snwbnny. There are some mangas that should remain mangas and there are some mangas that should be animes. Somes animes should be mangas. I would have to say it depends on the plot line for me. If it has a REALLY good plot line, like FMA for example, then heck ya make it an anime. But if it is something like Bobobo-Bo-Bobobo then leave it as a manga. Basically, I guess it depends on what kind of personality the viewer has. If they love to read then mangas might suit some of them better (I mean die hard readers-the ones that barely even watch TV). If you don't really like to read then you're probably better off just watching the TV.

I liked Samurai Champloo as an anime, I just recently noticed the manga (which I'm sure was written after the anime) showing up in bookstores. I looked through the first edition, and I noticed that they changed some of the stuff up, but wasn't done in a way that seemed "worse" to me, but just different.

For me they even out.

It usually depends on the story. (for instance, the anime of fruits basket totally killed it) But sometimes the changing isnt a bad thing. I like the fma manga AND anime BECAUSE they're different. The differences make it fun reading or watching either and comparing. I like manga because the artwork is great and I like seeing how the original author portrayed the characters. But the downside is whenever I'm in a rush and there's a big block of text I just skim it or skip it all together, anime solves this problem. Also it's fun to see your favourite mangas in action! haha.
