Dieing isn't a big deal to me. It's going to happen some day, so why worry? Why prevent it? The thing that annoys me about it though, is the fact that most people are afraid to die, and want to live as long as they can. But what does the world have to fear of death? And why would people want to have immorality? What's the point in that? The longer you live, the more you suffer. Physically and emotionally.

I'm not afraid of it, as long as it's not tragic like a car accident, or a victim of a serial killer. If I just die of old age, I'm fine with that.

Lately I have been thinking about it, and as long as death comes to me as mr. nice guy ( meanin' as long as it is not painful) then I am not afraid of dying wink.gif .
Well we all have to die one day, and if you think about it death is kinda like a gift to us, just imagine how hard it would be to live forever and have to witness such horror that is found within this world.

If I do die, though, I'd want it NOT to be of natural causes. A killer, stab to the back, falling off of a cliff, as long as it's not peaceful. I'm sooooo don't live a peaceful life, so why end it peacefull?

Heart attacks are natural but hardly peaceful.
Honestly saying "I haven't had a peaceful life so my death should be painful" is just stupid.
1: I doubt anyone would define their whole lives as peaceful,
2: I doubt your life has been that bad, I mean I don't think your living in a war-zone or suffered through a famine.
3: Saying "I deserve to suffer in death" just seems like attention grabbing...

It may be true that death is a part of life and quite beneficial to overall life, but then why the hell do we still spend so much on hospitals and medicine to keep us alive for so long!?

Also it's very wishy washy to think of death only in terms of what you think is ideal. Part of the awe of death is the very fact that you do not know how or when it will come.

True, maybe the reason we spend so much on medicines and all that is because our mind is concentration solely on the fact that we don't want to die, not just yet. Maybe we weouldn't be able to do something in life or we'll miss someone. But I've always thought about it...Will it really matter once we're dead?

It will matter to those you leave behind, and if you care enough about people you don't like the thought of putting them through loss.

My death will be just as worthless as my existence. What a shame... eh, not really.

Being an atheist, I don't believe in anything after death. It's nice idea, Heaven, but it just couldn't be like that. Once we die... we die.

I'm not afraid of death... probably due to extreme depression. I don't neccesarily want it...but if it comes I could easily accept it... but it's really weird to think about it... being gone... not existing... forever... It's kind of scary, and that's where I can see people having the idea of Heaven... but I don't believe in it.

I think about my death far too often, I believe...

I just hope that I go quickly - and that I manage to do something worthwhile before I *do* die...

Then again, I'm sure most have that same wish...

Oh my goodness! Mademoiselle/guy pal no one's existence is worthless o.k. I'm sure you are quite an special person, and I bet that I am not the only one who thinks so wink.gif

About my death I just hope I get to accomplish most of my goals and it will be then that I'll welcome death. What I know for sure is that I am too busy in my life to even think about it biggrin.gif

I remember when I thought about it a lot ....not too long ago actually ^^;;
And it always made me depressed and feel sorry for myself....it was quite stupid now that I think about it o-o;

Death is not something you can prevent, yes--but it's not something that you should let control your life either...

And us, Americans, live life like we are immortal (just a stereotype--nothing personal), but many people in other countries experience death on a daily basis (they see death everyday)--so they cherish it a lot more than we do. (stereotype--sorry)
Anywho, what I'm trying to say is that life is a gift ...sounds cheesy but that's my revelation after all these 19 years of mine. So live it! The meaning of life is LIVING! (....also cheesy but, hey, I'm a cheesy person XP)
and THAT ...is all I have to say about that so far ^^; I don't know--I haven't actually lived that long to experience "life" so how can I say much about death...

Truth be told, I'm more concerned about my beloved ones dying than my own death.

I have to say, I laugh at people who say they don't fear death when they are in a completely healthy, normal situation. I mean, if someone is young, has a terrible illness, and they know there is a good chance that they will not conquer the illness-- what can be scarier than that? Or if you were trapped in a burning building with no way out-- you wouldn't fear death?
