Actually, I've only heard it pronounced wrong once. Hehe, it was actually me who pronounced it wrong. It was the first time I'd ever seen the word 'anime' actually spelled out and everything. So I said it as 'ah-nime' with a long 'i'. I never really heard the end of it from my dad. happy.gif ;;

^^ Isn't that how it's said? Like, anni-mei. Well, it does come from the french word 'dessin-anime' and thats how it's pronounced, it's mant to have an accent, but I can't remember the way to do it on this laptop. Like the 'e' in Pokemon.
But yes, when I first read 'anime' I read it as 'ah-nyme', like 'rhyme'.
How can you ponounce manga wrong?

I once heard a few people pronounce it like: an-ee-mee.

But I don't think they ever heard of a word like that in their life.
