But then you have to realize, Al's mind is in a very fragile state due to his condition. I mean from past episodes, we know the pain that his condition has caused him.
And of course, you must remember that Ed wanted to tell Al something that he thought might upset him. Barry is a clever person. He knows how to manipulate people. And plus Al is only really ten years old. He doesn't have a body that can mature, so he is only a little boy. No matter how intelligent he is it would still be fairly simple to make him believe whatever you wanted.

Weird question, but... what was that room that Scar fell into at the start of the episode? I think it was just before the first commercial break. They never really say if Scar saw anything down there, you just dont see him again till near the end of the episode....Was that the room that Barry was talking about?

yep if u really listen when gluttony and lust r talkin' gluttony is all "lust its the bad place" and lust is all "oh no not greed we're going to have to get fullmetal boy to hurry up before he interferes with our plans." ohhhhh the suspence, the horror.
In our vast unwinding existence we tend to forget the things that were important to us but by forgetting them we realize that they weren't all that important but, by thinking that, u remember what u have forgotten and in that instant of remembering what you were trying to remember you forget about the thing you have forgotten so before you start to forget just remember those who truely remembered you won't be forgotten... or not. --------My Chocolate Family-------- Elder Sis- Jen Elric Elder Bro- DarkBlade Alchemist; Mustang's Appentice Lil Sis- Ed's numbuh 1 fan; animefangirl; braindead fma fan;& Kakashi's #1 girlfriend ---------------------------------------- join my chocolate family, pm me anytim

I found this a little interesting. In episode 22 after Lt. Ross approches Ed and embraces him. You can barely hear it but he says "mom? You're back." Maybe he saw her (Trisha) at the Gate?
Did anyone hear this too?

I heard it, but I knew that he had said it before this... I think that it's almost been a year... I'm not sure.
Maybe he did see her at the gate, but he had kind of lost control when he stepped into that red water, so I don't know whether it was confusion, some memory activated by fright, or he really did see her at the gate...(?)
