Hrm. I never watched a RAW. Do they give away too much with visuals for not knowing what in the hell are they saying? Or are they just like something to satiate you while waiting for the subbed versions? ;;>.>

Hohenheim is a German name (, isn't it wink.gif ?)
So, I wonder, if Ed and Al have any relatives or something like that in Germany...
Perhaps they're German huh.gif

can't wait to get the sub-version...
I wonder, who will be the fastest groupe...
SS, Fork, Spoon (or Sonchou tongue.gif [just kidding])

There's a very thorough and lovely fanfiction site about Full Metal Alchemist that gives you information about all kinds of aspects about the anime and manga; like name meanings, alchemy, timeline, translations etc. etc. smile.gif You should check it out, if you haven't already!

Scimitar Smile

Incidentally, Hohenheim is the name of a town in Germany and also the surname of a well-known alchemist. Ah, it would be best to check it all out yourself with the link up there! Just go to resources and read to your heart's content!

I believe someone messed it up with Hockenheim and 'believed' he made a 'brilliant discovery'. You don't see Hoenheim on the German maps, ne?

I mean after what the English language did with Koln, I would not be surprised with another "brilliant" English version of German towns....

Of course, if he was referring to the French town of Hoenheim instead, then there is such a town. But of course the supposed historical alchemist is not French, eh?

I don't think that Germany or England exist in the world of FMA, the world is certainly completely different that our world.

(I have never heard of Ishbal or Lior and red eyed people in our world biggrin.gif )
