Make sure you try to return it first and not just pay for another disc.

Just got the starter set.  Im lovein it, but one thing is thoroughly pissing me off.  Right on the tin holder, not 1 but 2 "As seen on Adult Swim" stickers.  At first glance I thought they were on the plastic wrap, but no, theyre right on there, and not easy to remove!  NOT COOL!

Beyond that, it's great!

Yeah I had the same battle! The day I bought mine it was a slow day at work and I spent like 45 minutes getting them off! It was insane X_o First I pulled off the sticker and of course like 3/4 of it stays on the tin and it left all this nasty white residue that refused to get off, I eventually had to bust out with Goo Gone or whatever it's called, it's for removing that kind of stuff. So yeah I'm all like YES! The nightmare is over! And then I'm all happy and then I turn over the box...and I was like NOOOOOOOOOO so yeah I'm going to punch someone in the face if they do that with the other 2 boxes

Don't worry cause even if they do put those stickers on again we've got 8 months before we have to worry about taking them off. Plan your strategies well.

I plan on getting the starter box thing, and I'll probably end up buying all of the series for the sole reason I love it so much. I am by no stretch of the imagination a fan of the dub, but I love FMA too much to not own it.

"I got the starter set for about $30 a few days after it came out, but I was there a few days ago and they only had the standard sets."

What is the starter set?

It is the first DVD with a tin to hold the first 5 DVDs and Original Soundtrack #1. If you read some of the other posts on this topic you would have already known that.

Anyways, I have to wait until March 5th to buy the starter set in Canada.

I wonder what the reason for that was. I pre-ordered the starter set on Feb. 2 from amazon.ca because it said the release date was Feb. 8 - NOW the site says it comes out in March dry.gif

If that's the case for the next volume that comes out, I might just have to order from amazon.com.

I have the fansubs on my computer, but I'm not a huge fan of being illegal, so I'm buying the DVDs as soon as they come out.

I just got my Starter Set today and it's pretty good and worth the money. It has good japanese subs that are similar to the fansubs.[Akeep,SS, Fork O_o] It has great extra's too. I highly recommend it for anyone who is a huge FMA fan.

The Fullmetal Alchemist DVD boxset is coming to Australia next month with a tin box, DVD 1 and the soundtrack but I don't want to waste over $40 for the the DVD, boxset and the soundtrack when I don't even understand Japanese, so I will have to buy the DVD's separately. I hate waiting, I prefer buying the whole series at once or buying an anime that has all the DVD's in a boxset out already but Fullmetal Alchemist is really great soo I guess I will just have to bare with getting the DVD's individually mad.gif.

I don't have too much money...
so I don't want to pay extra for the shipment to Europe. I wait untill I can buy the DVDs here or at ebay, maybe.

Uh... the DVD in the boxset is the same as the DVD sold individually... So it has English subs and dubs too.

Have anybody bought DVD's from here?
HobbyCube
Discs: 2
Episodes: 1-8
Dialogue: Japanese
Subtitles: English/Chinese/Off
Runtime: 8x25 min
Price: $19.98

To me it would be $29.48, 'cause shipping is $9.50. But Finland's currency is euro, so it will not be so expensive.
That is a bootleg set... 8 episodes on 1 DVD with English AND Chinese subs to boot... good grief, how can you not be able to tell... huh.gif
