Roy means "king" in Gaelic. That's probably where it came from. happy.gif

Hey that's cool. "King Mustang" I like it.

Assuming that Roy will become the Fuhrer in the manga, it works. wink.gif I agree, King Mustang doesn't sound too bad. tongue.gif

Hmm... I'm kind of confused, I've heard it before but couldn't figure it out. What is a Fuhrer?

Hail to King Mustang! Wouldn't that just feed his ego. (I made a statement like a question.)

You know, King Mustang wouldn't be a bad name for his son if it doesn't remind him of King Bradley.

Fuhrer is basically a title that means leader/president.

I think Hitler was called Fuher after president Hindenburg died, and he took over.... But simce Amertis uses english, how come they use a german term for the leader??? Shouldn't Bradley be called 'Supreme Dictator Generalmisso' or something???

Yeah, Fuhrer sounds German. King Mustang for president! laugh.gif

Speaking of history, my mom says (I don't actually believe her though) that alchemist were actually like modern pharmacists. Maybe she has it out of alchemists.

Ugh, I never was good at History. I loved hearing about historical events though. Such irony. tongue.gif

EDIT: Hmmm, let's say Fuhrer sounds better than President. At least to me. No offense.

Not exactly.... they were more like the predecessors of Chemists or something... but that's just in the west.... I think they were kinda like that in China....

Yeah I thought so. Pharmacists and alchemists (as they're portrayed.) aren't anything like each other.

"Fuhrer" is simply the German word for leader, though it came to be associated with Hitler, as he tended to favor the term or something. And to that fellow earlier, yes, Elric was the first thing I noticed & suspected. Being sword & sorcery, it only makes sense.

Did any of you know that the alchemy book at the beginning of episode three has text from a review of the D&D book "Alchemy and Herbalists"? I've never been able to find a copy of that review, though... Very certain which book it's reviewing, too, as only recently have any other books dealt much with Alchemy. But this has probably come up before.
