I'm not good at making up my own recipes, but I do love to use the recipes of others. So let's pretend there's a potluck, and the cast of FMA is invited! Here's my FMA potluck menu:
Ed's always eating what looks like meatballs on a stick, so here's his recipe: Vietnamese Shrimp Pops
. (Yes, I DID just call you a shrimp that's so tiny you'd need a magnifying glass just to find the microscope you'd need to see it. But you're hungry, so you'll let it slide.)
Alphonse wants quiche. He wants it in the worst way. Here's a medieval quiche recipe
to match the style of his armor.
Winry's learned how to make Gracia's apple pie recipe, but she hasn't yet mastered my mom's crumble crust apple pie. Good news, it's easy! And it makes two pies.
12 large Granny Smith apples (green)
1 1/2 c sugar
2 t cinnamon
6 T tapioca (uncooked)
1/4 t salt
2 pie crusts (buy pre-made, or make your own)
Crumble Crust topping
3/4 c brown sugar
1 stick butter (1/2 c), softened
3/4 c flour
Mix these together with a fork or food processor.
Peel and slice the apples, toss with the sugar, cinnamon, tapioca, and salt. Place pie crusts in bottom of pie plates. Spread apple mixture inside. Top with Crumble Crust topping and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until done.
May Chang brings Xingese food
to the potluck. OK, this one is
my own recipe. But it's very sweet, just like May.
Ling Yao isn't bringing anything. He's just planning on eating what everyone else brought.
Roy is putting off the decision of what to bring to the potluck until the last minute, and Riza's been too busy to nag him to make up his mind. So I'll edit this post and add more as I think of it.
And these are not my recipes, or even recipes at all, but since we're on the subject of FMA food, you might want to check out these edibles.
