@Nepharski - The last part is 5 years into the future.
Amd, the "END" is the end. The story concluds.
And, might I add, that I love the ending. biggrin.gif

And I assume the young man she's talking to is the kid with the weird haircut, yes? A good ending, but my regret is that it could have been expanded into so much more. Still, a fine stand alone piece.

Makes me sad, because it's highly unlikely that it'll ever see American shores. Less they do a compilation of Arakawa's collective works. That may not be such a bad idea, come to think of it.

I still can't believe that no-one is translating this one... but, if it's really so, then I might try translating it... (although, it may not be the best translations I could do, since my time is somewhat limited...)
Could someone please find out whether Umeko team, or any others on LJ community, or MSN is touching this one, or not??
If translations for this one is in progress by Umeko team or any other group, I don't want to step over it... unsure.gif (Plus, it would take some chunk of time out of me to do so...)

I know what you mean, but you have a pretty good idea of the general plot from what's going on.

Roy Mustang incinerated her repeatedly until her Philosopher's Stone dried up and dissolved into nothingness ("Mu" for you Japanese cultural enthusiasts). And she will remain killed off, written out of the plot. Greed was reincarnated because Father saved his Philosopher's Stone and had a guinea pig on hand. Lust is gone. Stop trying to play God with the plot line and bring her back at every possibly junction.
In the event that Hiromu Arakawa can skillfully maneuver around this narrative plot hole, I will eat my words with a pinch of salt.

^^ Yeah, I do have a good idea of the story... I mean, being a short one shot manga, it's a simple story.
(Simple, but good. smile.gif )
I can post the spoilers, but this one being so short, I really think anyone should enjoy reading it all at once, through to the end, without the prior spoiler knowledge, and that's why I'm holding off posting any spoilers on this...

Hopefully, Kirara or someone can find out whether Umeko or others are working on the translations of this or not, then maybe, I'll work on it. ph34r.gif

Oh, wait, Nepharski - you joined some LJ community, right?? Maybe you could check out if they are working on the translatins of this one?? ... smile.gif

I might check tomorrow (Or rather later today. It's two in the morning over here), but I don't know if I'll find much of interest. I'll keep you posted.

^^ I just want to add that the translation is excellent!!
I'd like to praise about how they translated "sakki" on page 18, bottom right panel as "My thirst for blood." It's very smart, IMO. Very impressive. happy.gif

Oh, BTW, they didn't translate it, but on the very last panel, the one with "END," has a small note saying they would love to hear your opinions of this manga.

I'm thinking of writing to GanGan how much I liked this one!! biggrin.gif

ETA: Gahaha, I see the translation of the last note. Although, the letter should still go c/o the GanGan Comic. biggrin.gif

Weren't some of the names changed, tho? I don't have the RAW at hand right now, but if I remember right it's Henbukumaru (They even get to call her Genpukumaru) and Tsugihide, not Tsukuhide.

Also, the note is translated, look at the bottom right corner happy.gif (altho' they put it as a message from Arakawa sensei herself).

^^ Haha, you know, I didn't check the names. laugh.gif
I took it granted that they probably got them correct because those are the easy part, so I skipped them. XDDD
(Yes, it should be "Henbukumaru," or possibly "Henpukumaru," tho "Henbukumaru," is more correct sounding, but difinitely NOT "Genpukumaru"!! laugh.gif )

And, yap, I see the note now. And, it could mean eather from Arakawa-sensei, or the editor, but since Arakawa-sensei normally does not take fan-letters directly, the writing should be addressed to c/o the GanGan editor. biggrin.gif

*cough* then they probably translated from the Chinese version of it? XDD *hides*

That's why I usually don't do Chinese->English translations for new stuff unless I have the raw handy for checking with names and such...

We weren't planning on translating it. (Or at least, I wasn't.) It would just take a lot of work since it doesn't have furigana and is over 60 pages, and I don't have time for that. @__@ So...good thing some other group got to it! XD
