It ended in June 2010 and the accumulated total of series was over 50 million copies, "Fullmetal Alchemist" drawn by Arakawa Hiromu. Elric brothers who committed a taboo, the original manga which depicted their pitiless journey and the whereabouts of their soul on on a magnificent scale called forth an echo. Also, TV animation which was aired in accordance with the ending of manga is still fresh in our minds. That "Fullmetal Alchemist" appears on a screen in summer 2011 again. The director, Kazuya Murata (The series of "CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion") and character designer and chief key animation supervisor, Kenichi Konishi ("Tokyo Godfathers") are received as the new staff, in addition, the movie brings in Yuichi Shinpo who is the novelist and known for "Whiteout" etc as the screenwriter. Studio Bones engages in creation of anime as well as previous series, and "Fullmetal Alchemist The sacred star on Wailing Hill (Miros)" will be delivered with the scale just like the movie. Edward Elric and his young brother, Alphonse - they were still on the middle of journey with being tossed about by fateful waves... The story of bond which is finally told rises the curtain here now.

================= ETA: Nov. 12, 2010 by Tombow
The Japanese title of the movie is "鋼の錬金術師 嘆きの丘（ミロス）の聖なる星"
tentatively, I'm translating it as... "Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of the Sorrow Mountain (Milos)" I assume the Sorrow Mountain= Milos here. ^^
And, here is the Gyao site that will show the 31 seconds movie promo starting Nov. 15, 2010. (And, yap, only people in Japan can view the promo vid. T.T)
(Screencap of the announcement that has since been staken down.)

I'm kind of hoping for the movie to take place a few years in the future, beginning with:
--Ed leaving Winry in Resembool. He's reluctant to do so because she's been rather sick lately, but she points out that he's been waiting to go to Xing for a while and he shouldn't pass up this opportunity. -- OP covers Ed's travel and flashbacks to Brotherhood (to catch those who haven't seen Brotherhood up) --He meets up with Al in Xing and they in turn meet up with May (who has been teaching Al Alkahestry). But then - PLOT TWIST - the Emperor has been behind some truly nefarious deeds, including having LanFan killed. --Ed, Al, and May don't believe it, and somehow sneak into the palace, where they meet up with LanFan. (Cue awesome music) --It turns out she escaped from the person who was supposed to kill her, and she's been hiding in the shadows ever since. She also doesn't believe that Ling has committed the crimes everyone says he has, and she shows the group to the Emperor's chamber, where the four of them see an interesting scene play out. Ling is alone but he seems to be fighting with himself. --The four burst in and they find that Ling is possessed by some spirit. The spirit in Ling's body tries to kill them, but the four manage to escape. (Bonus plot twist: May is left behind) --PossessedLing orders their death, and the three of them + Xiao May (who May had told to escape) escape to a small village outside of main capital. It's May's hometown, and Al and Xiao May introduce everybody. They begin forming a plan to get rid of the spirit that's possessing Ling ("And rescue May, too!" Al says, with a close up of his determined eyes. Insert moment of cute by having Xiao May imitate his glare) --PLOT HAPPENS --Ling is still alone in his chamber. It's revealed that there was one soul in the Philosopher's Stone that he brought back to gain favor that managed to still retain itself and it managed to attach itself to Ling (insert flashback of how it happened here). The point of this scene is to show the viewer that Ling is upset that he's being possessed. (Understatement) --Ed, Al, LanFan, and Xiao May sneak into the palace again. At one point they need to distract one of the guards, so Al uses alkahestry for the first time (outside of theory) without May present. Ed reminisces about alchemy. They continue to sneak. --Xiao May suddenly becomes alert. The group approaches a corner and they hear a sound. It turns out it's May, who escaped PossessedLing's clutches and left a trail of unconscious guards behind her. (Cue obligatory AlxMay that's interrupted by Ed) --The reunited group gets to the Emperor's chamber. They talk. PossessedLing is surprised LanFan is alive, while the real Ling smirks. --FIGHT HAPPENS: Al uses both Alchemy and Alkahestry to distract Ling while LanFan and Ed team up and physically fight him. --PossessedLing is defeated. But then - PLOT TWIST - something happens that is unexpected. ("Impossible!" Ed says, with a sweatdrop) --Whatever the unexpected thing is, it somehow leaves the palace and Ling behind and starts to wreak havoc on the streets. The spirit that possessed Ling is now separated and set on achieving its goal (the usual "Gimme power!" mixed with "I need a host body!"). Meanwhile, Ling has come to his senses (cue obligatory LingxLanFan that's interrupted by Ed). The group runs to catch up with the spirit. --The spirit has now absorbed several citizens and tried to make its own host body, but something went horribly wrong. FIGHT HAPPENS. -- Insert Al complaining a little that he's getting tired from switching between Alchemy and Alkahestry. He sees Ed fighting with his own hands and takes it back. --DEFEAT --Everyone is happy and makes up. --HAPPY RESOLUTION HAPPENS --Ed, Al, and May leave LanFan and Ling in Xing while they go back to Resembool. --The three meet up with Winry (worrying Ed because she still looks sick), who tells Ed that she's pregnant. Ed goes through a lot of shocked expressions and eventually settles on a happy (cue obilgatory EdxWin that's interrupted by Al and May) --Camera pans up to sky while the opening chords of ED starts. --END
