nobuo uematsu would do pretty well but it needs to have a familiar ring to it. take the two women that do the sound track for heroes. it has a really unique feeling to it that almost nothing can top. to add to this i've got to say that the first series had music that fitted perfectly and if any music is to be kept then it should be the elric bors theme. finally if we are talkin about openings and endings then just get someone like asian kung-fu generation to do it. nana kitade might do nicely aswell.

Don't know, Don't care - as long as it sounds allright.

All I know is I really liked the 2:nd ending theme of the first series. Definetly wouldn't mind a re-use of that song in some form.

I can't think of anybody that would compose a better score for FMA than Oshima Michiru. Her music didn't distract attention too much from the scenes, but added an extra feeling to them. Also, by themselves, the soundtrack pieces are very good to listen to. I couldn't stop myself from downloading nearly all of them.

She is a spectacular choice for any sort of composing. I also wish to see her presence again in the score.

An ending song by BoA...hmm, I wonder if that would work. I wouldn't oppose it; BoA's a great singer, but I dunno...

(Korean singers ftw.)

I am a BoA fan myself, but frankly, her stuff hasn't been that great as of late, and I don't think her voice really suits the style of FMA. Besides, she's busy with her American debut. laugh.gif

Little Washu, Nobuo Uematsu composed the music in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. I really do like some of his piano scores; he really hasn't branched off into composing music for anime though.

Nobuo Uematsu is my favorite video game music composer, but unfortunately, in my opinion, he peaked at FFIX, and that was all of eight years ago. He hasn't made anything phenomenal since then (excluding the Black Mages arrangements).

My choices, then, would be as follows:

- Yuki Kajiura (although her style may not suit FMA)
- Yoko Kanno
- Yasunori Mitsuda (too much Celtic influence, though?)
- Mark Mancina (he did a pretty good job with BLOOD+)

NOT!

Seriously though... I'd be really sad if they didn't bring MO back

Hey, I liked his work in DBZ, even though it was not OST.

However, I would like to have bring MO back as well. There were some strong themes in the situations alotted.

I think she would be able to up the ante.

JOKE
I don't know any Japanese artists, so I'll just mention some epic Western artists that will never get the job happy.gif :
1. Don't Stop Believing - Journy
This song is PERFECT, because Ed and Al never stop believing. It's also incredibly epic, and that's necessary.
2. Anything by Linkin Park, but only their older Cd's.
Did anyone ever notice how well Linkin Park fits with DBZ? I know, off topic, but I'm just wondering.
JOKE

I just want it to be perfect. Like, I want the music to fit perfectly with every scene and all the dialogue -- everyone does. I thought they did a pretty good job with the first series, and the second should be just as good, or better. Defiantly better. Also, why would they get Vic to do it? He did one song that just proved to the world he was obsessed with Ed. They would probably take Journey before him. Okay, so maybe not, but you get the point.

Now that you mention American Artists, concerning the soundtrack itself - I would not mind John Williams or Shore from the LoTR trilogy.

I know that is not going to happen but I am sure they could bring epicness to the series.

Yeah, or maybe Harry Gregson-Williams, who did the music for Metal Gear Solid 4: GOTP.

Good choice, he also did the 2 Narnia Films.

He could give a good mix of fantasy style with epic war scores.
