I think i can explain why riza survived the first 2 cliff hangers they seemed reasonably logical. Gluttony cliff hanger: Riza faught back. and furery as well (and lets not forget black hyate!!) Roy was on his way in his car. so we already knew Roy was going to save the day before his grand apperance.
Saliem Cliffhanger: this is the easiest to explain. kill Riza and the homonculii lose their leverage over Roy and their 5 sacrifice is gone. By killing Riza the homonculii gain absolutellly nothing. they dont kill people they need with out a reason. Thus Riza "magically lives"
SLit to the neck: nope cant find a good excuse for this. It took me a while to like Ling. But i just find mai to be obsenely annoying. to have her jump of of nowhere patch up riza and be on there merry way just down right disappointed me. WHile it may of put a lot of attention on Roy to have Riza dieying in front of his eyes, i still think it would of made for a better story. i still want Roy to open the gate. the preveiw pages dont give me a nay or yea on this fact. Riza living makes it even more likely that roy wont open the gate becasue Riza would of been his main reason too.
Guys let's keep this chat about the chapter. No character bashing. If you want to bash May bash her in a different forum where all of you can hate her together. I'm sick of reading character bashing in forums when the topic has nothing to do with character bashing. Some people like Mei a lot so please be respectful and tolerant.

No Ed and Al in this one....I'm dissapointed, I didn't think all focus of that 50-paged chapter will be on Roy and Riza
But some wonderful action here. I guess that toad-chimera guy is dead. They're using Goldtooth as passing toll (and Wrath as well?)
That dog came out to be a simple, non relevant dog. I'm surpised that Arakawa added that bit, it seemed quite unneccesary, I mean, she could draw only the sun being eclipsed.
Aand I guess that's it. I think I will add more after reading translations. But I've really expected something more in there.
And hey, the pages of Dr Goldtooth being pulled up are repeating!

Epic chapter is epic O___O
At the beginning I was scared I mean really, I forgot for a moment about spoiler pages from earlier, I forgot that she's ok. And so, no we have everyone, the party has started. And crazy doctor is dead...or is he? Nah, sure he is. Another cliffhanger, this time with Roy...or maybe not really a cliffhanger, since now it's going to be everything about Father's superb-evil plan I can't say much, I need a translation~ like now!!!

In the raw, there's something weird about the order of pages: Two pages are there twice. Those are pages 21-22 and 27-28. Based on the page numbers visible in some of the raws, I'm going to assume that 27-28 are there accidentally; the earlier page numbers match, but on page 23 it says it's page 105 in the Gangan magazine, and page 37 says it's page 117, so there are two surplus pages between them. So, you can delete pages 27-28 from the raw, I quess, and skip from page 26 to 29.

Just saw the raw... Soo epic chapter, I really loved it. Roy's desperate shouting, Riza's eye signal, Roy refusing to do the human transmutation, May and the chimeras saving them and an epic fight.
