Heh, all seven homunculi in one episode!
Some further comments:
I really thought the action was pretty amazing in the episode, especially anyting Fuhrer Bradley did, even when he was just talking. They pumped up the animation any time Bradley did anything. And the VA for him is still strong as ever, if not better than when he played the role in the first series. I thought it was pretty amusing in that added scene with him and Izumi that we had two returning VAs discussing something again.
It was weird having Bradley and Armstrong just sort of showing up, because of the Fuhrer supposedly conducting an inspection. How could he have even known about Greed's wherabouts? That's sort of weak. I also think they made Greed out to be a little pathetic, escaping because he was teamed up on by Ed and Izumi, instead of being inconvenienced with the military's presence, like in the manga, and deciding it wasn't worth continuing. And then, ultimately, Izumi's presence proved meaningless, too.
I have to congratulate Yuuichi Nakamura's performance, though. He really was an excellent Greed, even matching Junichi Suwabe at times.
I think that, overall, I'm a bit disappointed that the Dublith/Greed arc was three episodes when it probably should have been four or five, but at least this episode capped it fairly decently.
OT: on Voice Casting of Father's Voice Father's voice sounded a tad feeble and wavery, when I expected it to be a little more deep and dry. He is voiced by Iemasa Kayumi, who played Chief Chujo in the Giant Robo OVA, so I know he's capble of good work. I'll keep listening to see if he meets my expectations this time around.
Fullmetal Alchemist is over! Thank you, Hiromu Arakawa! ;_;
