@fullmoon - Thank you for bringing the capsummaries for this episode!!

@Kale Mustang - Thank you in advance for the transcripts for the episode 4!!

I just watched the episode on Funimation.com!!
I liked it, I liked it, I liked it!! biggrin.gif
Others have already posted excellent analyses of the episode here, and I agree!!
I just want to stress how much I've been enjoying Romi Pak-san's VAing as Ed in this series, and that includes this episode also. I think her VAing in this episode was right on the money. ^^

This episode was truly the best so far. The scene when Ed realized what happened to Nina... so perfect. I almost cried, and that rarely happens.

I'm so glad! Can't wait for next episode! happy.gif

I didn't really cry, but I thought it was sooo sad. Here, I'll compensate with a crying face. ;_;
And here's another. T_T

So, anyway, you wanna know how obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist I am? Today in physics class my teacher had the formula Force=mass x acceleration on the board, or, F=ma. When I saw F=ma, all I thought was, "FMA!" I'm such a nerd. XD

@ Hagaren_4ever: GAHAHAHA. xDD I never thought of that equation that way, but now that you mention it... Proof that Newton supports FMA. xD

...this was kind of off-topic, wasn't it? ._. Well, I still need to watch the Funimation sub of this episode. Can't wait to finally see it in good quality...

We already know that Newton supports Escaflowne, but FMA too, huh?

1.) FMA also helped my grades back when I was asked what element is most commonly found in the sun, I thought, "IT'S JUST A MASS OF HYDROGEN!!" Haha.
2.) Noone's gonna want to talk about this subject now that the 5th episode is out anyhoo. May as well talk about off topic things. XD (Sorry, Tombow. I'm done.)

@Hagaren_4ever - Haha, actually, some of my FMA friends are watching it today on Funimation.com, and some haven't watched it yet because they had exams. Also, officially, in Hong Kong, if you're relying only on TVb, then the airing is two weeks after the airing of the episode in Japan. (TVb is up to episode 2 now.) So, yeah, please don't clutter the thread with OTs. tongue.gif

And, to make this post on-topic:

We're still looking for any available info for the scores used in this episode.
If anyone has any info, please post.

Also, can someone please double check and post which manga chapters the content of this episode is from, and post that info...please??
Thank you!! biggrin.gif

yea i prefer watching on funimation - better quality and good subs, plus it saves time for weekend studying

anyway -> @Tombow Episode 4 basically covered all of chapter 5
(chapter 4 was the train, they skipped that)

apparently (or not?) excluding the train in the show explains why they had hughes meet the elrics in episode 1, rather than as he does in chapter 6, which is what episode 5 should cover (?) but i'm glad, i am a hughes fan after all

@Elemental/Alchemist - Thank you!! And, since you're very good at this, could you (or anyone) double check for the first three episodes also?

Ep1: ?
Ep2: ?
Ep3: ?
Ep4: Chapter 5 (skipped chapter 4, the train scene)

Thank you!! ^^

Cornello/Lior episode was chapter 1 and 2 in the manga. The Two Alchemists and the Price of a Life.

No idea about the origin story episode (I think their story was spread over multiple chapters in the manga) and episode 1 was original.
And Chapter 3 was the Youswell coal mine town which was skipped over in this anime.

Bwah! I didn't even THINK of that! I apologize for my arrogance. T_T
I have'ta say... this episode pwned episode 5. The animation for this episode was beautiful. Everything was done well, the music, voice acting, timing, everything was just right. Don't get me wrong, episode 5 was just fine, the animation for some of the scenes just left much to be desired. (I'm sorry, Bones, I know you probably worked very hard on it! T_T)

@Vagrant - Thank you!! Yeah, there are some parts that weren't very clear, and the second opinion helps!! Appreciated!! ^^

----------------------

@Hagaren_4ever - No problem!! ^^ And, yes, I agree... after watching episode 5 I can really see better quality animation in this episode compare to the next episode.
I really liked episode 4. ^^
