The first one is rather cute... but you need to work more on the hair (it should be more detailed)... also the lineart should be more clear and tidy. And be careful with shadows... you made them too rude on the clothes, I think...
they're so well drawn, elric... keep on, they're not us bad as you think^^

Okay...I know I'm a little too young to comment arts and have the worst arts ever if compare to you guys but I just can't handle it... I'm pressure between my info and the fan arts... >.<...OKay to begin with...
Drawing a live anime human...they follow our body structure...from the angle of our face to our toes...>.< that's why it's hard for me to draw...Have you notice that your anime ears are way below from their eyes? They must be in one line... And when it comes to anime's drawing there is always common sense...You draw your fanart's hair very gracefully but...they are not exactly following the procedures of our own body...first off some of them are flat...Start by drawing a semi round for their upper-head so you can get the basics...And lastly...the hair...you must have a specific wind direction...to make it easier...have your hair dry first then blow it with a hair-dryer from a specific location infront of your mirror (I've done it before... sometimes bored people do get some ideas true boredom) then sooner or later you will get the image..I hope... I hope that would help you improve your art better...
I'm not sure about fanarts or animes so much but I've been observing many things about us human...very fascinating creatures indeed...
*am I being too bossy I apologizes...but this are the tips...but if my tips are wrong then don't mind it cause I've never been to art classes outside my school before so I don't know much about it...
< don't mind this girl...she's really tired...and hungry...

actually, placement-wise on the head, the ears go right between the eyes and the nose. so if you drew an oval for the head (frontal view) and put a horizontal line where the eyes are and another where the nose is, the ears would go right in that space between. but you're on the ball for everything else
