My dearest love America,

Please come back to the Empire. It's not the same without you. Australia is to far away, India isn't in the mood any more and Canada is just so bland. We need each other. We worked so well together. Remember who we almost wiped out the Natives back when you were in your colonisation phase? Fun times had by all.

America, please forget that silly Declaration and rejoin the British Empire.

Yours lovingly,

The British Empire.

PS: Whatever you decided I can respect, have a Happy Independence day.

(For those who don't get it: in here we celebrate the 4th of July.)

I'd love to get back together.

You chaps favor the indian food and your currency isn't that bad at the moment.
But the spelling drives me nuts. All the extra o's , e's and u's

colour, flavour, oedema , and oesophagus. ROAR

Dear, dear British Empire,

You're right, we did have some good times, but indeed, time has changed us both. You weren't there when I needed you most; you claimed my achievements as your own; you didn't listen to me, yet still expected me to obey your every whim. That kind of relationship would never work in the long-run. It was suffocating. It was better to break it off early than to let it drag on. I'm sure you'll understand eventually.

I appreciate all that you've done for me, all the people you have sent over and the traditions you've set in place--I really do. But you never gave me the attention I wanted--needed. I wanted to be your one and only, but you set your sights all over the world. The Declaration was a big deal for me. It was the sign that I was ready to stand on my own. Though it is unlikely that we will ever go back to the relationship we once had, I'm sure we can still remain good friends. Unless you do something to piss me off, in which case I'll call you a terrorist and steal your bases. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Sincerely yours,

The United States of America

Dearest Independant U.S.A,

Please remember all we have done for you. Our television has all but given up trying to find slots in its schedule that will not clash with your shows you so kindly sent our way. Our resturants simply cannot compete with your fastfood eateries. In film, well known Brits are often played by Americans. Our ex Prime Minister even gave up his spine to that delightful Mr Bush. We have changed...we have changed for you. Come back to us, you will feel rather at home here, we no longer "suck". I know you love us really, we have that thing called "history" all the movie stars are talking about. We'll all talk like we're from London if it helps ease the confusion.

All we ask is that you spell colour with a "u", for not spelling it with a "u" is obviously such a silly error, you can see that surely?

The Greatest of Greats

Britain x

(Happy Independance Day ya'll. Thank-you for reminding us how patriotic it is possible to be)

Dearest UK,

Please take us back!!

Yes, I consider myself to be patriotic, but I also need better health insurance coverage.
If you take us back, I wouldn't mind spelling a.s.s as arse, or however you spell it... sleep.gif

But meantime...

Happy July 4th, fellow Americans!! biggrin.gif

My friend and ally, I don't begrudge the ways you have accommodated me since WWI--and because you have been such a darling, I must be honest with you: it's not you. It's me. I fear that I have made some terrible mistakes in the past 7 years, mistakes that didn't happen out of the blue. In retrospect, I know that most of it was my fault and that I can't blame anyone...but it will take some time. What happened in recent history did not happen out of the blue. My ego, my arrogance...yes, I know how the world saw me yet I charged right on with my own agendas like some global superpower. I know now that I'm not so 'super'...at least, not in the way I want to be. So though I have changed a lot since I broke up with you, I want to change even more now that I've seen the error of my ways.

I'm sorry that the influences I've had over you have generally been damaging to your own health and prosperity. I feel that it's better if you keep your distance from me for a little longer. Don't get me wrong--I am grateful for all that you've done. I just don't think this is the right time to jump back into your arms. I fear that such behavior from me will do you more harm than good.

Please understand that you are not lacking in any way. I believe that, in the long run, I have had a negative influence on you. I would like to think that our reunion would solve all our problems, but that would be much too naive. After the events of the past 7 years, I realize that what I need are friends in this world. I'm glad that you have not relinquished this post. I think it will be more beneficial for both of us if we remain as good friends. I don't want to tie you down to my problems.

After 200+ years of Independence, it would be much too hard to go back to you. I'm not ready yet. Please, don't wait for me; I don't know how long it will be. I urge you to go your own way, find your place in the world again...and I will do the same. As friends, I hope to learn from you and adopt things that have worked for you (but modified so it would work for me, who have become so different from you).

In short: I just need to get over myself. It'll take a while. It won't be worth your time to wait for me.

Friends forever,

America, the Beautiful

P.S. See? My ego strikes again. :(

(Patriotism...heh. I'm just here for the fireworks! :D /mei-not-speaking-as-the-U.S)

Dear America,
Fine! Be that way. If you don't want to get bacl together then that's you choice. We've been seeing Canada behind your back anyway. We had a beautiful thing and you ruined by not wanting to be taxed.

Yours, Britain.

Dear UK,

We learned recently that you guys are still keeping one of our original copies of Declaration of Independence .
We lost most of our original copies. Can we have that one back? You guys don't want to hold on to that and keep getting reminded about us having left you, right? tongue.gif

P.S. We can send you some more ipods with the Presidential seal in return, like, for every member of your Parliament? biggrin.gif

Tombow - act like you don't want it back...maybe we'll think about it.

I wouldn't suggest the iPod's though, the last thing our MP's need are something to suggest the have some importance in life. The might even claim insuring it as a business expense.

Dearest America please return to our beloved empire! The things we could do together and see together! The British Empire simply isn't the same without you, think of all the things Britania did for you, are you really ready to stand all by yourself? Come back to the empire and you can have better health care happy.gif and learn to spell words with the vowels they are meant to contain. Regardless, of what i am sure will be a smart desicion...

Happy independence day! (for yesterday XD) lots of love from the UK
