The current issue of Square Enix's Shōnen GanGan Powered magazine has advertised an "important announcement" for the Jūshin Enbu: Hero Tales manga by Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist) in the next issue, which ships on June 22. Announcements with similar advertising are often, but not always, used to publicize a new anime adaptation. Hero Tales centers around Taitō, a boy who is the prophesied seventh star of the Hokuto (the Big Dipper) in an ancient land reminiscent of Asian legends.

Oh!! That's a good news!!!
Thanks for bringing that!!
I love the manga version, although some of FMA manga fans don't think it's up to FMA's level.
I would love to see this in anime! biggrin.gif

Just for the info. ^^

In case anyone would be intersted in reading Jushin Enbu, the manga version, we are following the manga on Arakawa's other works thread. biggrin.gif

Our trusty ZOMGFT has been scanlating the manga version of Jushin Enbu for the past 3 chapters, and they are working on scanlating the 4th chapter (I think. ^^) Please join our discussions on Jushin Enbu, the manga version, and Arakawa's other works on Arakawa's other works. smile.gif

If you like Xing characters in FMA manga, it's a good chance you might like Jushin Enbu!!

I'm excited to see anime version of this!! biggrin.gif

I saw this earlier on Ann.
Haha, some of my friends over in Gaia hate this series saying it's nothing like FMA. XD
I read the first chapter it was ok, too lazy to read 2nd.
I think I'll give it a try if it does indeed become an anime.

^ I don't know. Ask them. A few of them lost interest in FMA after Pride was revealed.

And to avoid going off topic. Soo, who else reads this work?

^^ Yeah, some of our regular FMA manga fans trashed it also. laugh.gif
But, it's really too bad they can't read the Raw (and "between the lines" in the raw.)
It seems to contain much more emotional and cultural subtleties that sort of hint out possible future storylines and such, that get lost in the scanlation.
Anyway, for now, I remain hopeful for the series. biggrin.gif

The July issue of Shōnen Gangan Powered (on sale June 22) has confirmed that Jūshin Enbu: Hero Tales, the latest manga from Fullmetal Alchemist's Hiromu Arakawa, will be animated for television. The previous issue had advertised an "important announcement." The Chinese-mythology-inspired story revolves around a boy named Taitō, the prophesied seventh star of the Hokuto (the Big Dipper), who must journey with his sister and friend to recover a legendary sword. Shōnen Gangan Powered is a bimonthly spinoff of Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine, where Fullmetal Alchemist runs

Sadly you are wrong.
Just because she did the manga doesn't mean the anime will be any good. Look at how poor the FMA anime was compared to the manga.
Assuming the Manga has enough material to cover the anime series then there shouldn't be a problem but if the anime studio needs more material/just plain feels like it then they could take it in a completely different direction.

Still, it's far to early for doom saying. I await this with a cynical hope.

Does anyone here even read the manga?

'Buffy and Angel had gone out before and Buffy wasn't really comfortable talking to Spike and Angel at the same time, because now Spike and Buffy had been going out for 6 months and Buffy was afraid that Angel might tell Spike that him and Buffy went out, but it turns out that Angel had told Spike that they went out, Spike was heartbroken that Buffy never told him that they went out, so Spike broke up with Buffy to get back at her for not telling him that Angel and Buffy went out.'

Not in every case but for FMA the anime was just 100% concentrated fail compared to the manga.
Elfen Lied anime > manga by miles.
Gunslinger girl and Azumanga manga are as good as their anime counterparts.

FMA anime was just poopy.
