I had trouble believing it was really anime...lets just leave it at that. The drawings. blink.gif

The manga drawings are really drawn badly and looks like a kid's drawing, except for the facial expressions. Yoshita Usui's good at that. The anime art is actually worse than the manga, and in the manga, the art actually gets better then it suddenly gets worse as it goes.

I used to watch it in Korean when I was little. I think they called it Janggu instead of Shin-chan.

Also in Korea I KNOW it was a childs Show. Not all perverted like XD

Yeah, I read Shin-chan in Korean and watched it when I was little. In Korea, they divide up the Shin-chan manga. There are mulitple versions of Shin-chan out there. Yep, they called it Jjanggu. (giving hard stress to the Jj) Originally, in Korea they call the Japanese chan, jjang. And the name, Jjanggu, is actually suppose to be a term for a boy who's very naughty, plays pranks, mischievous, dumb, does stupid things, etc. So that's how the name came to be. In Korea, there's the Crayon Shin-chan manga and the Jjanggu is Unstoppable. The Jjanggu is more popular because the dialogues are better and they leave out the naughty adult stuff in it so basically Jjanggu becomes a kid's manga and Crayon Shin-chan are for adults. Jjanggu is REALLY popular in Korea and there is absolutely no one who doesn't know it. Everyone likes it but then Jjanggu suddenly stopped purchasing so there's only Shin-chan left and now it's really not sellin' anymore.

The Shin-chan manga in truth, gets REALLY boring after vol 21. 1-21 is hilarious but then you kinda notice that the mangaka seems to be running out of ideas making up useless characters that aren't even funny and lame stories that just don't seem fun anymore. sleep.gif
Beacause of that, I stopped buying the manga.

Shin-chan is hilarious, but I don't think the dub is doing a good job of showing the true nature of Shin-chan.

Hehehe, I was hard pressed to call it anime. But... since everyone else here is calling it anime and apparently it has a manga.
Ok.
It's entertaining at times. Heh, the animation is horribly drawn but I gather that that is on purpose. Shin-chan is not exactly the most beautiful of obnoxious children. I watch it on and off really but not all the time just because... well, it's a comedy show. I don't really watch comedy shows all that much because they're easier to play repeats of.

Wait, what?

It's made in Japan, it's a cartoon, therefore it's an anime.

It has its moments. The jokes have definitely been Americanized to a large extent.

Meh, I had just woken up. I don't really watch comedy shows because they don't really have much of a cohesive story for me to get interested in (lame I know but there you have it).
As for the anime part... I'm new to this thing.

But yeah, Shin-chan has it's moments. What was the deal where Shin-can was tied up naked like a dog or something? That episode was... interesting.

Yeah, and one of the other things that makes it so funny, is that many of the voice actors are also in FMA!

There are a lot of FMA and Negima! voice actors/actresses, but Shin-chan is a Funimation project I think, like FMA, Negima!, Fruits Basket, Kodocha, ect. So I think the VA's try to stick to the same company. But thats just a guess.

I think that Mitsy(Shin's mom), Georgy, Action Bastard, Ench Man and the Happiness bunny are cool.
