I got this in my mail today (from the official Hagane mailing list):

=================================

=================================

Which basically reads:

The all-original-story movie's subtitle as been decided as

"Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conquerer of Shanbara"

Note: I have no idea what 'shanbara' is, but that's what's written... if anyone knows, do tell please...

all-original??? does that mean its a totally different story from the series???

It just means that the story content is totally conjured out by Bones and nobody else, meaning it's not based off any other sources like the manga or the novels. That doesn't mean it won't be a side story though dry.gif

I wish for once they'd just finish this thread of the story instead of leaving the door open for another cash-cow movie or series. It's not right to punish people with a several year wait after you show the beginning of something. Sometimes it's ok for a good movie to have a happy ending. I mean shiat, it's not like it's all happiness (Nina? Tucker? Hughes?) and silly crap. It's possible to have an emotionally profound anime without screwing over the main characters at the end. I didn't watch 51 episodes just to watch the main characters get screwed, of course with a 1-minute cutscene like "One day maybe they'll get un-screwed... Fin".

All I'm sayin is that the movie better end it, preferably in a favorable way with the same high quality as the series smile.gif.
