Just because someone is into punk doesn't mean they will like either of these bands.

In reference to this pop/punk idea, we don't even refer to those bands as punk, it was only after looking at them on the net that I heard it.

Green Day are only popular over here thanks to American Idiot, otherwise few people knew they existed. Suppose they were always more mainstream in America, its different here.

Still not punk.
