- My older brother is serving in the US Air Force in Afghanistan right now. I'm proud of him, but also somewhat worried. Though he'll be back in 6 months. Still, I'm sending my prayers.

- I hope everyone had a happy Halloween! smile.gif I got so much candy. And I had so much fun with my friends.

- As a class, the seniors have decided tomorrow would be an early senior cut day; no school tomorrow for me. biggrin.gif

- I hate deviantART. It keeps giving my computers the NASTIEST malware. Like the kind that completely kills my Internet connection.

- November is National Novel Writing Month!

- I'm trying to decide if I should go to sleep now, or try to stay up until 5 in the morning.

I just talked on the phone with Little Kuriboh (YGOTAS).
My life may be complete.

...That is one of the coolest things I've heard all week. And I've fangasming for the past few days as it is...

@Disasterpiece: I have to agree with what everyone else has said. Just go with things now, and see how it works out.

-I almost jumped out of my skin! I got a knock on my door and there has been a mandatory corridor meeting for the this floor tomorrow. Turns out that there are unacceptable standards of cleanliness out in the hallway and even more noise complaints. Yeah, that's all good, except that people like me who are getting hassle because of the drunkards on this floor that leave the hallway littered with vodka/wine bottles and other rubbish. And it's also them that are making all the noise. I've forgotten what the concept of a good night's sleep is. It's not fair that some of us have to get reprimanded because of everyone else. dry.gif

-I'm so glad it's reading week next week. I'm going home- there's no way I'm staying here.

-Ugh, got a micro-essay to finish for tomorrow for Space and Time. My brain hurts. xD

-I'm finally getting my money from student finance; I have my grant but now I just need my loan so I can finally pay off one of my rent instalments. I'm sure the people at the finance desk are sick of seeing me for extensions. laugh.gif

For Halloween eve I dressed up as a sexy baseball player and went to a friends party. Had such a good time. Then on Halloween the new house in the Cape actually got trick-or-treaters. My other house always gets zero.

Advising tomorrow, if all goes as planned, I will have Fridays off!

Tonight my friends and I talked about baby names we would name our kids. I would want my future husband to like the names, but in the end I am the one pushing them out, so I should get a say. But girl names I like are Ava, Sophie, and Abigail (Abby) and for boys, I like Caleb, Adam, Erik, and Liam

--I had to work at the dining hall Halloween night, which wasn't terribly fun, but there was a guy wandering around dressed as a candy corn, so at least that was entertaining.

--The most amusing part of Halloween was looking at the clock, realizing I had five minutes to get to work, putting my hair up as I walked, then sprinting down to the dining hall and clocking in one minute after my shift started because I got locked out and had to go around.

--First midterm of four this morning. Totally aced it. (Then again, it was mostly stuff I'd been hearing for years from my dad. Bioscientific vocabulary is a breeze when your dad's a marine invertebrate taxonomist!) No midterm tomorrow, but I do have a 3 hour dining hall shift. Then one midterm each Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, building up in difficulty. I'm going to be so happy when the weekend comes.

--Treated myself to ice cream from Rick's Cafe (yes, it is a Casablanca reference) this evening. For 75 cents, you can get about a half pint of ice cream in a bowl. It's ridiculously cheap, and so good. (I had a cake cone, though, so I got only about 3/4 of a cup of ice cream. Still 75 cents. It's all good. tongue.gif)

-I woke up earlier than intended and I've been pretty bored waiting for my first lecture. I went on Facebook and there's a 'like' giving instructions to put Japan as a starting point and China as the ending point on Google maps and look at direction 43. I couldn't stop laughing when it read "Jet Ski across the Pacific Ocean". I'm slow on the uptake on Facebook so people probably have already seen this, but it did indeed make me LOL. laugh.gif

2 more exams before I've completely crawled out of HSC hell. Hooray! Here's to catching up on everything that's not related to a school syllabus.
On another note, I've been hooked on League of Legends (shame on me!) recently so the catching up might have to wait a while.

Ugh that reminds me of when I went to school... I travelled on a bus, you see, and it was just FULL of badly behaved people. About once every month, the principal of the school would call us all together to tell us off... Even those of us who never did anything wrong... D:

- Today I had to walk from the school into town for a job interview. And then I had to run back to catch the bus. I don't think my heart has ever wanted to explode so much. XD I was so dehydrated... I got such a headache on the bus, and then my legs were still shaky after the 10-minutes-or-so bus ride. I mean, it sucked, but afterwards I just think, "I'm so epic for catching that bus on time." laugh.gif

- Opening night of the play is tonight! But sadly, the one time I'm not dying from nerves (the thought of getting on stage used to make me physically ill), my stomach decides to act up for no reason. Owwww. :C

- ffffff I still can't believe how awesome the season finale of Metalocalypse was. I can't stop watching it. But waiting for the next season is going to be brutal (in a bad way).

A Pierrot's Aria--The people I live with aren't so bad as to be called together, but I do wonder how some people are allowed to live at home, with the mess and the noise they make. I hope people shape up!

CTs:

--Meh. The weather midterm wasn't fan-flippin'-tastic, but I passed by a good margin; I know that much.

--My CSE professor said today that he goes for a median midterm exam of 87 and usually achieves it. Between that and the practice midterms, I'm not as worried as I was about that. Physics is also... hopefully not so bad. My professor's writing it this time, and he tends to ask concept questions more than calculations.

--Still, can it please be the weekend, like, NOW?

@Pyroclasm Yeah, it's really annoying, isn't it? >.< And yeah, cricket is very boring! laugh.gif

@jacksparrow589 Everything has been eerily quiet at night since the meeting, but heck, I'm not complaining- I've had two nights of great sleep! And don't worry, the weekend is nearing! hug.gif

CTs:

-You know those days where there's a succession of annoying things that happen that just irritate you more and more? I've had one of those mornings/afternoons. I nearly got ran down, even though the lights on the crossing turned green to indicate that I could walk across the road. As I was crossing, this huge Landrover went through a red traffic light and if I'd taken one more step I would have been knocked down. I wondered why the woman on the other side of the road looked mortified when I was crossing over. dry.gif

-In my philosophy lecture, I talked to this really pompous guy. We were talking about something and I said "Yeah, you may be right" and he replied "Well, yes. I almost always am right."

So then we started talking about going home, and he said that he "couldn't wait to get back to the civilised South", and there started the succession of annoying comments. xD

"We have Wimbeldon (and other things I can't remember) in the South, what have you got? Nothing."
"The North may be above the South but we still look down on you."
"You haven't read it? If your friends have read it then maybe they went down to the South where they have an invention called books."
"Oh, have you seen this? It's called a shoe, and what do you think of the wheel? Are you going to use that thing called...what's it called? Oh, a computer?"

And he basically said that Northerners are scum.

Bloody smarmy, pompous twit! dry.gif I could tell by the smug look on his face that he wasn't joking- it got beyond a joke very quickly and I felt like he was actually making fun of me.
