QUOTE(Tombow @ Aug 25 2007, 02:19 AM)
@Menelvir - Thanks so much for doing the Twilight hunt!! And, it's nice to see you here again. Miss seeing your posts while you are away!!
Aww, that's so sweet of you, Tombow! *blushes* Anyway, I've gotten you and Starrie's PM's, and added [n]natsu-hime[/b]'s ("summer princess?") Twilight entry to my list. So sorry about missing you out, my dear princess! I like your sketch! Riza's particularly cute, though I raised an eyebrow at the dialogue...
Hunting in Twilight isn't finished, though. Anyone knows if the author plans to finish it soon?
No I haven't PM-ed Stormie about this yet, and I don't know if I should do it now. The entries seem a tad too few aye?
Almost forgot! Congratulations to the winners of the various contests! Sorry I didn't vote. I didn't think it was fair to vote when I hadn't seen all the entries. Though I must say Edamame's Apple Crumble still sounds tempting to me!
~A painless lesson is one without any meaning; There is no coming to consciousness without pain~
She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes, and starry skies And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. -- George Gordon, Lord Byron
Sig made by Ed's Numbuh 1 Fan. [teehee, Sparkly Roy! I love it! And my BFF ~ceruleanbloom made the avvie. Check out her DA pg.]

Okay, so I have the recepie!
Chinese Chicken Salad
Dressing: (Just combine all the ingredients. We didn’t use any real order.) -3 tablespoons hoisin sauce -2 tablespoons natural-style peanut butter (or to taste) -2 teaspoons light brown sugar (or less) -3/4 tablespoon Asian chili paste -1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger root -3 tablespoons sweet rice vinegar -1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
Salad: -1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast -nonstick vegetable oil spray -1/4 lb. angel hair pasta (other long, thin pasta is okay, too) -4 cups romaine lettuce, rinsed and spun -2 cups shredded carrots -3/4 cup finely chopped scallions -1/4 cup fresh cilantro (leaves only)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a grill. Start heating water for pasta.
Prepare dressing. (This can be done at any point.)
Spray the chicken lightly with the cooking spray. Grill it on a rack 4 inches from glowing coals for 6-8 minutes or until just cooked through. (We cheated on this step. We just poached the chicken and that was that.) Let the chicken stand for ten minutes before thinly slicing it up.
Cook the pasta and drain it well. Rinse with cold water and drain again. Arrange the pasta in one layer on a shallow baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake it for 20 minutes, or until just golden. Season with salt, if desired, and break it up into ½ inch length pieces.
In a large bowl, toss the lettuce, carrots, scallions, chicken, and pasta with dressing.
So there you have it. It was relatively spicy, but we didn't use scallions and we substituted 1/4 tsp. powdered ginger for the ginger root, and nearly 1/4 cup of chili garlic sauce for the chili paste.

OMGOMGOMG I SOO HAVE TO GO TO KINOKUNIYA THIS WEEKEND TO GET SHONEN GANGAN! I DON'T CARE IT COST ME MORE THAN IDR 50.000 BUT I WAAAANNNNTTTT IT!
offtopic: i was a bit curious why toru ookawa (roy's jap seiyuu) haven't been appearing lately in 2007 so i visited his webpage it's all in jap (www.tostation.jp) and i thought i'll find something interesting like a real roiai pic but i found a real royXed instead (i mean him with romi paku) and i found this adorable picture of him with a baby and after drabbling over my kanji dictionary for hours i finally translated all the jap words:
"A PEACEFUL MOMENT TOGETHER WITH HIME"
i asked several friends and found that the HIME (princess) there is not a nickname, but a name! woot~ i found the real princess mustang's name! i didn't see her face but i think she's cute...and...
Hime is my japanese name!!!! OMG I AM SOO BEING BLESSED BY ROY MUSTANG! FIRST I SHARED THE SAME BIRTHDAY WITH TRAVIS WILLINGHAM AND NOW I SHARED THE SAME NAME WITH TORU OOKAWA'S DAUGHTER! wahahaha i guess the sentence "die liebe tochter auf fuhrer mustang" that i made in german class is true after all...
sorry for being offtopic *bows* but i can't help but share this! ahahahah i love offtopic-ness and random-ness (and spams too) XD ahahahha XD

Starrie: Thank you again for taking time out of your day to organize the Royai Summer Album. I really like all the little slide-shows that you put together especially the "Rough Sketch" one.
Jacksparrow: Your recipe for Chinese chicken salad looks delicious. I will definetly have to make it for dinner one night.
Tombow: Thank you for posting the Shonen GanGan scans. I really want both Roy and Ed's little medal emblems. I really like the last emblem with the two snakes (I think they are snakes) intertwining. I wish that the European/ American manga would come with all the cool extra items.

@natsu-hime - That's right, Jakarta has several Kinokuniya stores, right?? Lucky you live in Asia!! I don't know if GunGun you buy in Jakarta has that bonus gift inside also, but please check it out and let us know!! ^^ And, it's cute that Japanese VA Mustang said that... nice, huh?? Your name, natsu-hime means summer princess, right? Very pretty name!! And, yeah, please post the pic!! I want to see how Japanese Roy VA looks like. ^^
@Edamame - Yeah, I like that one with two snake, too!! Too bad we don't get those neat extras in the West.... T.T
@Desu ne? - I want Hayate figurine, too!! That would be cute! And, "die liebe tochter auf fuhrer mustang" means something like... "the dear daughter on Fuhrer Mustang" in English, I think. ^^
I'm still hunting for Vol. 17 omake pic scans. If you run into them, please share with us!! ^^

@Desu ne? - Yeah, maybe she meant to type von.. that happenes to me sometimes, like when I was posting summary for the last chapter, I was thinking of Mason, and I thought I typed Mason, yet the next morning someone pointed out (kindly ^^) that I typed Miles where it should have been Mason... several times!!
And, Arakawa-sensei being good at drawing fat people, old people, and so on.. yap, she enjoys drawing "chubby" people.. Check out her comments on her scketches. Check her comment on Page Ten, listed on my second post there. ^^ She also commented somewhere there that she likes drawing ordinary people, too. Yeah, I like her very much!! She is so unassuming!!
And, staying on topic.. Oh my, it would be so interesting to know what other "coding" systems Roy and Riza have between them!! (Yes, it's chapter 74 spoiler. ^^)
Can't wait to find out what's in store for Roy and Riza in chapter 75!! ^^
