You mean FMA:B? Well, it's planning to adapt the entire manga. They changed small details and removed a couple of other details... and made about 2 to 3 filler episodes, but nothing that could really mess the general plot of the manga.

Right now we're in the middle of the Briggs story arc.

Just for future reference; this is a really bad answer.
What's wrong with it? No context. For all a newcomer knows the Briggs arc could be near the start of the plot, it could be the final arc.
A bit of context (Chapter/Volume X out of Y) is much more useful.

Good to know, but I interpreted the question as "At what point in the story is Brotherhood at right now?".

This weekend, I watched from ep 13 to ep 35.
I had only watched the 12 first episodes before because I was disappointed by the contrast between the two different animes, even if the second is more respectful of the scenario.
But now, it's the second part of the story, which wasn't animated before, so I'm feeling better watching because I can't compare with the other anime. Besides, I prefer the manga but it's too long waiting one whole month for a chapter.
That's why I decided to watch the episodes of Brotherhood, even if I didn't like the 12 first episodes so much. XD

And as a Royai fan, I really enjoyed watching episode 19. =D
But episode 27 was a little boring IMO, with all the flashbacks. x___X

Ok, help me now. There is one humongously big thing I don't understand in FMA:
Spoiler for...eh...after episode 30-ish...or sth...
Why do they have to kill a lot of people (all the riots etc that Falman lists, Ishval, and Lior, and now they want Briggs too to have a blood crest) for all the "corners" of the whole-country-transmutation-circle?
It doesn't make sense to me. If they kill people there will be fewer left for the big Stone (or whatever). Do they make little stones eveytime? Wait, eveyone just dies, the bad guys don't collect them to make stones...Wait, in Ishval, didn't they capture ishvalans and made Kimblee's stone?
I'm lost....

I have read the manga up till now, but my memory is extremly fuzzy...

@MsLinn:
The bloodsheds ("crests of blood") in the corners of two nested pentagons are a part of the transmutation circle. Blood has strong symbological signifigance (it seems to be connected to souls in FMAverse too), so the locations where bloodsheds have taken place are neccessary for the nation-wide transmutation circle just as much as the tunnel forming the circle is.

Ok, but why must they kill people? What's the point?
Thank you for helping!

...Part of the "magic system" in the FMAverse. There's no more "point" to it than there is a "point" for having to draw a circle or clap to change something into something else. The author just has decided that if one wants to create a Philosopher's Stone in the fictional world she has created, there needs to be a five-point transmutation circle and there must be blood in the points. For a really big transmutation circle, there needs to be lots of blood.

ok ok, I think I get it now. It's the blood itself, it's a symbol and it is needed. (wow, I'm slow...)
I was hoping for a big epiphany that I had forgotten about in the manga, but thank you very much anyway!
