I'm visiting an economy grammar school.
We are working with laptops in class, that's why I'm online even in lessons...
It's fun. I love my class.

I go to a private college which specialises in journalism courses. It's the best journalism course in Australia and am currently getting Distinctions and High Distinctions in every subject, bar shorthand.

Currently I study in a public high school for visual arts. Almost always I've loved public schools, the teachers are nice, relaxed and the other kids have behaved (mostly) well as well.

I've been home schooled my entire life. My sisters are the only ones who went to a actual school (Married: An early grade and college. Second: College.)

We interrupt this signature for an important question:

If it is not approved allowed to post on a thread that has long since died been "resting" for a while, and each member is allowed to open only one his/her own "art collection" thread for posting his/her artwork in fanart forum, then does that mean I can not post my artworks again on my old art thread?
(No, I'm not looking for "Post it in 'The Beauty of Your own Artwork'" as an answer, thank you!)

<Answer: Yes, of course!! Hope to see many more of your artworks!! :) ~ Board Staff>

Off to Michigan! Be back soon!

Private preparatory school. Actually, one of the most prestigious in the United States.

Though, I'm definitely not one of those preppy kids lol.

I went to a public elementary/middle school and a private high school, and right now I'm at a private university. I originally planned to go to a public college, but they're all really impacted for my specific major (nursing), and I wouldn't get out in four years, hence I decided to go private.

QUOTE (kazare @ Jan 11 2010, 07:28 AM) *
...what is a charter school?

Charter school:

An alternative type of American public school that, while paid for by taxes, is independent of the public-school system and relatively free from state and local regulations. A charter school has a greater degree of freedom and autonomy than the traditional public school, and students attend it by choice. Each school is granted a renewable charter, usually by a state or local board for three to five years.

The aim of these schools is to increase learning opportunities and to allow for greater innovation in teaching practices. Some charter schools have a higher percentage of minority or economically disadvantaged students than traditional public schools and some specialize in a particular academic area. Charter schools are usually small, mainly urban, and vary significantly from state to state.

The first charter school law was passed in Minnesota in 1991, and the first school opened there the following year; California initiated similar legislation in 1992. By 2004, some 3,000 such schools were serving more than 600,000 students in 40 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

While many applaud the charter school movement for promoting greater choice for students and parents, it has also been criticized by those, including many teachers' unions, who are apprehensive about the possible chilling effect on other public schools, the lack of adequate supervision, and, after several years of operation, the apparently unsatisfactory performance of many of the schools.

<so says in Columbia Encyclopedia. ...sorry, I can't link it tho. ^^>

pre-K to 4th grade: Public Elementary School
5th-8th grade: Public Middle School
9th-12th: Public High School

Now I am at a State or Public College. I wouldn't want to go to a Private College, because I would most likely graduate in debt. And for my major it is a better investment to attend a Public College than a private one.
