If you look at it, we're all alchemist in one fashion of another. Even though we magically can't turn lead into gold or gasses into fire with a snap of our fingers... we transmute basic things everyday (well, according to my knowledge of alchemy).

Still don't get it? Our basic milk for example. You add chocolate into it and it 'transmutes' into chocolate milk. Flower and yeast transmutes into bread. Its basic chemistry that could be considered 'alchemy'.

Or maybe I'm just thinking weird things XD Either way, there's basic chemisty that affects all of us... espcially in the kitchen.

After all, Chemistry was born from Alchemy.

i spose this allusion to our everyday lives is why people like FMA so much, becuase creatioin and recreation is something we can relate to.

on a side note, im gonna start calling myself the gas emission alchemist then

I've thought about that too. Aside from the usual basic chemistry of living, I also do modern science. Therefore, I am the Molecular....the Molecular Alchemist!!! (I'm sorry, I heard Cornello say Fullmetal Alchemist like that in eps1-2 and i've been DYING to do so ever since) laugh.gif

lol

Anyway, I agree!!!
But my science teacher doesnt.
Really, though, Alchemy EXSISTS! Basic transmutation! Alpha and Beta decay.

I like putting things in the freezer. There fore, i am the frozen water.

happy.gif

Tell me if im breaking in on any joke. I seriously have been called it since i saw it at my friends house, and decided to freeze 16 ice cube trays in her freezer, grind them up, and throw them around outside this july. happy.gif()

^^^then I say your science teacher is wrong.(hehehe) If you can take two objects (such as two chunks of metal) and press them together with enough force, the molecules will eventually start to blend with each other....thus creating a new type of metal. (I remember reading that back in chem...I think it takes a long time under stander temp and pressure...but i believe it can be done more quickly if you manipulte the state of the metals or the area around them). And furthermore, if you take any element, and mess around with the electrons in its valence shell, won't you get a new element? huh.gif

Besides, changing water in liquid form to ice is changing the bond formations between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms...thus you are manipulating the chemical structure of the compound.(Isn't alchemy nothing more than messing around with the state of matter..if you look at it simply) HAHA! You are the FrozenWater...THE FROZENWATER ALCHEMIST!!! laugh.gif

That would take a major amount of force, unless you melt the metals first but the princaples the same. Alchemy does exist, we do it every day when we make breakfast, lunch or dinner.

this concept is so stupid >.> you don't do much work, you're letting other properties do it, you just put them together manually *sigh*

In the world of Hagaren, yeah, its stupid because its the will of the alchemist that enables the transmutations... but 'our world', the real world, basic chemistry could be considered Alchemy (of the old world). Modern Alchemy is more technical ._o

Alchemy is very simple: Transmutation
The definition of transmutation it turning one atom into another.

That is physically Alchemy.

Really? You mean it?

Of course.

Dogs embody loyalty. They follow their masters's commands above all else.

Be a jerk to them and they don't complain.

And they never once beg for a paycheck.

Mr. Kim, the vice principal of an anonymous elementary school in Minnesota, agreed that a way to increase students' interest in science is by showing them more cartoons that disguise magic as science. "Ever since the premiere of Fullmetal Alchemist on Cartoon Network, my students have been coming to me and asking how to mix two elements and transform them into something else. It's such a great show. I will totally support its funding."
