A big favorite of mine (my second favorite to FMA really) I'm curious....how many other people here like the series?
I know Popo
does, but not sure about anyone else. It's kinda under the radar unless you know your 4chan.
For those unaware, it's an anime and manga about living dolls called the Rozen Maidens (7 in all...well...technically 8 if you count the fake
who are trying to become the perfect girl - called "Alice" - that their "father" is looking for. The only way to do so is to fight each other (keep in mind they're all SISTERS) and take the thing that gives them life, their Rosa Mysticas. So essentially, they must kill each to please Father. There have been two anime series, (the second being called Traumend) and an OAV (Ouverture). The manga recently ended very abruptly at around 8 volumes (rumors are that it was gonna get cancelled anyways, because Peach-pit, the creators, weren't getting along with the magazine that published the series)
There are also very high hopes that this Christmas will bring us a real "end" to the anime. See, the series first aired around Christmas, the second series did the same the next year, and the OAV did last Christmas. Traumend didn't leave a conclusive ending (
at least it was better than the manga's confusing crap
) so fans are really holding out for a 3rd season this year (or at least a movie - that's what I want to see >3>)
Btw, I find it amusing that they're 7 "living dolls" created by a man they call "Father" only because it reminds me of another certain manga...
