Please post the discussions on episode 18: "Marcoh's Notes" here. smile.gif

A few new characters were introduced in this episode.
I didn't like any of them.

There was a good fight scene, although it was kind of short.

Also, some new and disturbing info was brought forth.

When Hughes was telling that new guard why they have to let Al and Ed do what they want, I thought that was a little disturbing coming from him.
It made him sound a lot more like a dog of the military than he normally does.

Also, I didn't like any of the new characters in this episode, especially that girl that is trying to hold Al and Ed back.

This episode made me realize how good of a character Armstrong is.
I was missing him in this episode after he was in the last few.

I thought that the three new characters sucked.
That librarian was too corny.
I thought that it was stupid how the solution to recovering Marcoh's burned notes was to have the librarian write them down from memory.

I'm still waiting for Al to rip someone in half.

I was a bit disapointed Scar didn't do much against the Lust and Gluttony.
Then again, he doesn't use alchemy the way everyone else does...

I thought the sequences with Sheshka and her book-filled house was funny.
*scribles down something on a list*
Another one on the FMA chick list... what? *looks around*

So the truth is revealed about the Philosopher's Stone.
How will they continue to move on...? *dum dum duuummmm*

Thank you for taking your time to read this post.

Just wait till next episode if you're looking for a long fight scene....

When Lust was alive she was actually Scar's brother's girlfriend.

I think that ep was quite good.

P.S Next ep's fight is really good. But no spoilers for you!!!

I thought the episode was okay,

gave new information
and some new characters

and shedded some new light on the philosophers stone,
will they continue after finding out what the philosopher's stone's last ingredient was?
i was shocked when they found out as well,

some parts of the episode was funny

Ed seems to be getting over the pipsqeak humor I see.

This series seems to be coming to a point soon I suspect.

Lust and Gluttony were human at one time.
(or at least Lust was Scars friend/wife or sister maybe)

Hopefully now that he knows that a lot of his people weren't wiped out maybe he'll go to the Elrics and warn him about those two,
But then again maybe not.

To find out that the stones final ingredient was a Human being is not good,

And It's a good thing Lust and Gluttony don't know about the new copy of Dr. Marcos book
and/or of the lady who now is for all intents a state secret cause of her photographic memory
(For Her safety really I'd think).

What I want to know is how the last ingredient is used in making the stone.
All the ways I can think of are disturbing, especially since the ingredient has to be living.

Thunder is nature's roar,
A herald of what's in store,
It sounds low and high,
telling that a storm is nigh.
Heed lightnings booming voice,
Before you are have no choice,
But to bear nature's loudest cry,
And witness the white fire of the sky.

The series wont get to the BIG point yet
there are 51 episodes in the series after all.
Same as all anime series'.

I can understand japenese, so i have watched all the eps.
I wont spoil anything.

Just know that this series has been pretty boring so far (if youve seen the cooler episodes)
Except for the fight w/ scar on ep.16.

to get, something of equivelent value must be taken.
not just in the show......life is a lot like that too.
we live every day and give money to get what we want and need,
yet there are those who bend the rules,
they steal from people and have to pay the price in the end.
..alchemy is life, life is alchemy, it seems so simple doesn't it.
...its not.

I thought what Hughes said to Roy on the phone was hilairious
but I can't wait till the next episode, ( yay a battle!)
I really didn't like Ross or Block but Sheska was okay, her fantasy was funny
but seeing Scar in the last scene was just plain creepy.
(glad half of him was covered in bandages, no shirt eeeeewwwwwwwwww) wacko.gif

I'm still pondering the thought pn the philosophers stone, a live humasn being?
how can that be ?
was marchos stone a real one?
this is all very confusing
maybe some more of my questions will be answered in the next episode.
* sits down to think *

I just wish they would show FMA more on Cartoon Network, like during Toonami and Adult Swim, and at 9:30 PM.

It was an okay episode,

but I like the one with Dr. Marcoh pointing the gun at Al.

It's the first showing of the synthetically created Philosopher's Stone.

This epi was HILARIOUS.

I forgot the 2 guards names, but when they went up to Alphonse and thought he was the Full Metal Alchemist.

Also what Hughes said to Roy. happy.gif

I was surprised when Marco's notes were cooking recipes and he put it in code.

Also when Lust jumped off the balcony, her smile was so weird.

So now do you guys understand why the philosopher's stone can do what it can supposedly do?

Think back to the first episode, remember all the elements that make up the human body?
Not just that, but LIVING humans.

You just don't get it AlphonseRules. Sciezka just really *REALLY* loves books.

About "editing" of the Japanese episode for American viewers
Yeah, I believe they edited some of the blood spray from Gluttony's head.
The arm tearing however they did not edit.

Its so clear now..why the stone can do what it can.
It makes it seem like it not equal exchange but it is..because in making the stone something of grate value was lost.
And i think it has to be a living person because only living people have the main ingredient and thats what makes the stone work the way it does,
But thats just my guess.

Nice ep. ,
but in my eyes so far all the FMA eps. are good.
I really hope that the series stays on in the US for the whole series because if it doesn't it will drive me crazy lol
