Personally, I think they've tied up the story as best they can, so a sequal would probably just hurt, as un-needed sequals are oft to do (*Cough* Disney *Cough*).

However, a prequel would serve as an interesting concept...

Lust is dead. Finished. Kaput. Joined the Choir Invisible. Roy Mustang incinerated her repeatedly until her Philosopher's Stone dried up and dissolved into nothingness ("Mu" for you Japanese cultural enthusiasts). And she will remain killed off, written out of the plot. Greed was reincarnated because Father saved his Philosopher's Stone and had a guinea pig on hand. Lust is gone. Stop trying to play God with the plot line and bring her back at every possibly junction.
In the event that Hiromu Arakawa can skillfully maneuver around this narrative plot hole, I will eat my words with a pinch of salt.

An OAV about the mangaverse Xing arc would be nice.

As for movieverse, My friends and I discussed how it would be totally awesome if there was a short that comes up after the credits, in which Ed kills Hitler. Screwing with History, yes, but it would be awesome. <3

Man!! That would be awsome!! Yes, just go ahead and kill Mussolini too.

From what I watched, I think there isn't gonna be a sequel. There really isn't much to tell. Adventure with Ed and Al?? That would be like the 2nd version of Pokémon. For a prequel, what's fun without Ed and Al??

But, we'd get to see Hughes again...and Pre-Emo Roy, and the Furher and Scar and practically everyone else.

From what i've read, They don't know whether they will carry on with Ed and Al. But also the director stated that they most likily wont carry on with Fullmetal Alchemist, but they may use that word. In other words the *insert Name* Alchemist, they may spin off with another Alchemist and go with that. But it is unlikily that Ed and Al will have another series or Movie.

Woah, a new Alchemist? That would be funky.
How far back would you want a prequel to go? What about a corny series about the adults when they were teenagers? Or a show with just filter episodes from random times.

A prequel about Dante and Hoenheim's past or about the homunculi's human lives, how and by who they were created (for some), etc, would be awesome...

'Buffy and Angel had gone out before and Buffy wasn't really comfortable talking to Spike and Angel at the same time, because now Spike and Buffy had been going out for 6 months and Buffy was afraid that Angel might tell Spike that him and Buffy went out, but it turns out that Angel had told Spike that they went out, Spike was heartbroken that Buffy never told him that they went out, so Spike broke up with Buffy to get back at her for not telling him that Angel and Buffy went out.'

If those people have enough strength and time to make a prequel, why not just make a prequel on how the whole damh thing called anime was created.

ed and al make this tale of two brothers comming the ultimate sin for a loved one and paying the price and learning up life and themelves in findin a resolution.
that's all done now, not to mention they more or less found the 'truth' of everything. let's sleeping dogs lie and leave it as the classic it could become ^^

Ew. Overkill much? The shouldn't screw around with a valuable unique storyline and Inuyasha-fy it just to keep the franchise going. It's a valuable story as it is, and to continue with a watered down spinoff of that universe just kills the artistic value, imo.

Something small, a poignant prequel, maybe, if it holds the quality of the Rurouni Kenshin remembrances OAV. But if it comes down to it, I'd vote for not touching it. (Besides, hasn't Bones already made an unholy amount just in collectibles, liscencing rights, and all the other crud that sells like candy?)

A short mangaverse OAV, or no deal. *Folds arms*
