Umm, the first two eps, he's 15, then there's a flashback to when he was 11/12 - he's twelve when he becomes a State Alchemist. After a while, you go back to the present where Ed is 15. Flashbacks occur more than once in FMA.

It's as DarkWater says - but he turns 16 somewhere too. Let's see, there's those first two episodes where he's 15, then there's flashbacks from 3 till 9, where he's MOSTLY 12, but the ages are displayed anyway. Then they go back to three years later where he's 15 and Al is 14...
And somewhere around episode 23 or 24 or something he turns 16. His birthday is in winter and is the same as Hughes's daughter's birthday.

Exactly! 5'2"! I use the metric system and I read a bit of the translated manga, and there was this tiny omake there, and they said he was 1.65 with antenna and shoe soles. That's about 1.55 without those, seeing the whole proportional thing.

Yep. I figured it out, and it was 5'2" and there was some discussion about it all and now everyone else is saying the same too. Yep. Great.

I like being right through my own findings. =3

5'2"? Aw, he's not small then! biggrin.gif It's perfectly normal for a 16 years old to be 5'2". Yes, it is.

Shut up >.<

Yes. Considering I'm older than he is, Ed is doing great.

5' 2" for male at 16 is RIDICULOUSLY short.... that would make him shorter than the majority of women.... and six inches shorter than the average male.... lets just put it this way.... shaq craps bigger than him.... thats short

Well, I'm (almost) 16, I'm 5'2", and I know a lot of guys of my age who are shorter.

5'2''?? Really?? I heard he was 4'5''. I thought that 4'5'' made more sense. *Ponders for a second* That would mean Ed's my height and I'm as tall as Kenshin... Wait, that would make me a shrimp as small as an ant that has to be seen through a microscope!!!!! And I'm 18, almost 19!!!! Dude this sucks!!! Me, Ed, Kenshin, and Hiei should make a "We're short and proud of it" club.
