*Notes: This is set in the mangaverse (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

- Semi-Active Grid-based Battle System
- A simplistic representation of the battlefield. You issue commands for the entire party and have them execute it as long as
they have enough points. Your turn automatically ends when Act runs out or if you press execute. Commands are "stringed"
so in a way it's like doing a lot of multiple hits like cross edge. The only difference is that, the character with the highest
damage count/hit count can execute an extra turn from his/her plethora of "finishing touches"
Certain skills, when used in succession, combine to form Extended Skills. You can discover the combinations on your own, or
by reading manuals purchased from item shops. Extended Skills are more powerful than normal skills and will score
additional hits against foes with empty break gauges. They're best used at the end of a combo, after wearing an enemy down
with multi-hit skills.
When you use the right skills in succession, you can use combination skills on top of a character's individual skills, and on
TOP of that when you keep up the momentum, you gain what I will call EX orbs that you can either spend to unleash ultimate
strikes or you can spend them to use passive abilities to benefit the party like ATK up, regen, break damage boost, etc
There's a grid but instead you have 3 formations, "Vanguard" "Guardian" "Seer" You can set people on the Vanguard position
or Guardian but only 1 Seer. So the vanguards can directly deal damage and be damaged while the Seer is at the very back
doing long range attack or protection for the character. They can't be directly hit at all unless the Vanguard or Guardian
positions is empty. (You set it via menu) and there's field effects on specific positions of the grids but you can only move to a
different position once and those field effects mostly influence what you're doing.
2-4 field effects can affect one box represented as divided into 4 triangles and each triangle has it's own effect, if you have
ATK+5 as a RED triangle, and DEF+5 as a GREEN triangle but a AGI-5 as a Blue triangle and you have RED RED GREEN BLUE
ATK+10, DEF+5, AGI-5 as an example. For a better presentation, here's what it looks like:
When an enemy attacks you for far enough and your "Desperation" bar is full, you can choose to activate it in the enemy turn
or your own turn. This is called, "Counter Alchemy."
- Oh boy, where do I even begin?
Alchemy in this game is quite similar to the FMA GBA games. For Edward, you gain materials from the terrain, the
elements for the items are: Metals, Nature, Stone and Plasma. By combining the materials based on their elements/property,
you'll be able to enchance your set of abilities or even emulate (megamanning) other Alchemist's abilities.
In a circle there's the 4 elements and 4 properties if going clock wise it's like
"Air -> Wet -> Water -> Cold -> Earth -> Dry -> Fire -> Hot"
Those are the points in a transmutation circle so depending on the array you have, you can only access certain points of the
array and in those points you set in the items/terrain elements and create a reaction.
On the other hand, Alphonse's alchemy is almost the same as Edward but rather limited. He has his own set of knowledge but
he can use these items to strengthen his limited Alchemy. He can learn more skills by observation.
- Private Action
- If you're an avid fan of Star Ocean 2 (The Silver Star Story) or Tales Of. Then Private Action should sound very familiar.
Private action is basically character interaction. Being closer to your party members or other characters in the game.
They usually affect the endings you get and who you'll end up with. Private action is basically for character development
and bonus interactions with characters to break the monotony of your everyday mission.
Private Action can also let you have a "break" and visit separate characters and see their habits in their "free time."
You can play as either Alphonse/Edward during Private Action.
- Four endings
- Being a mystery story, you get four (4) endings for the entire game. The endings are determined by your actions and sanity.
Will you be able to solve the mystery of the Rose Plague?
- Please note the art isn't finalized for the menu, we'll update this section frequently once we have the artwork done
