Feh. I agree. The little girls just bug me. I wasn't going to watch the second episode after I saw that little girl on the train. I despised her deeply. I don't know why. Thank god I did, though! Full Metal Alchemist Is my favourite Anime/Manga so far.
Winry is so freakin' whiny in english too! Gargh.
Then there's, Yes, Edo-Kun, as has been commented on before. The English Dub voice is much better. I send Vic fanmail. I think Al's voice is pretty cute, too. And Hughes is good. Actually, they aren't all that bad, apart from a couple of select ones which I'd like to ground to a pulp now just because Funimation screwed up they're voices.

I liked the English dubbed version more than the Japanese one.
In the Japanese version: Ed sounded quite ok, obviously not a girl. Al sounds too much like a girl. Envy sounds too much like a girl too. Winry was ok but I'm slightly against her too girly accent. Roy sounded awesome! Armstrong sounded ok.
In the English version: Ed sounds ok, but I like the Japanese version slightly better. Al sounds good. Winry sounds like a whiner. Roy sounded too deep. Armstrong sounded ok, I don't see much difference from the Japanese version. Envy sounded awesome!
Well, I like the Japanese voice better, maybe because my voice and accent is like the English version of Ed mixed with Al's. Anyway, I liked the voices for both versions a lot. It's better than most that I've heard. The English dub is so far the best I've heard.

The voice dubs for FullMetal Alchemist are fu*king horrendous!
Ed sounds like a 'too old for the part' panzy. Al is a freaking seven year old talking through a tin can. Winry sounds like she is a 30 something whore. Lust sounds like the part was being over sexed. Roy's doesn't fix the part, along with Hugues. You feel kinda glad when he dies so you can stop hearing his voice. Armstrong sucks...
Basically it was a travesty...i think my ears are bleeding

Odd, I think Hughes voice fits perfectly... Winry's Japanese voice IS WAY too squeaky... She doesn't even sound 30!
Edward was perfect, he sounded like a fifteen year old GUY... Which japanese Edward sounded like a girl trying to sound like a boy. (I wonder why?!)
Alphonse I will slightly agree, he did sound young.. But Japanese Al sounded like a 11 year old GIRL! (Again, I wonder why he sounded like a girl.)
I thought Roy's Japanese voice was way too deep... I like his English voice a lot better.
I can't say much for Lust because I never heard her Japanese voice.
I think both the armstrongs were perfect!

If it is not approved allowed to post on a thread that has long since died been "resting" for a while, and each member is allowed to open only one his/her own "art collection" thread for posting his/her artwork in fanart forum, then does that mean I can not post my artworks again on my old art thread? (No, I'm not looking for "Post it in 'The Beauty of Your own Artwork'" as an answer, thank you!)

PhoenixJesus, you sound upset. And kind of overreacting to a topic that's been pretty much beating a dead horse for two years.
Aaron Dimsuke, bless his cute little heart, just can't act well. Most of the background actors are entirely monotone and unenthused, and though that occured at some points in the japanese cast not to the same extent.
Vic is a great actor, but his voice simply annoys me for its physical makeup; he is too much of an adult, and his attempt at sounding young end up cartoonish. Stereotypical anime/superhero teen voice. In the early episodes I sometimes expected him to yell out Stinkoman catchphrases. The difference there is that he can act, and very well, in some cases, even with more 'oomph' than the original; he does bring a few good new interpretations to some lines, and some subtlety where Romi got a little tired. (She did have some moments where she didn't come through and wound up sounding tacky and forced and very... plain.) Opposite with Al, where Aaron's voice fits the part, but I've heard fourth grade book reports rattled off with more emotion than his monologues.
An 11 year old girl and an 11 year old boy generally sound the same; I don't get the point in that. You really can't tell at that age, so it's worth it to bring in an experienced adult actress with the same kind of voice. Many young boys in american cartoons are voiced by women, most famous of all being Bart Simpson.
(Darn you! Now look what you made me do! I'm beating the dead horse along with the rest of them!)

My biggest fear has come to life.....Funi has destroyed FMA......it has turned into another "Case Closed".....its sad because, not only have they ruined it period, but they ruined it for the true, original fans. Let me explain...... First of all, Funi changed around a LOT of the dialogue.....why you ask?.......Because FUNI LOOKS DOWN ON US......Funimation subsitutes good original dialogue with simple, crappy, 4th grade dialogue so we can "comprehend" everything.....grr........speaking of dialogue.....WOA!.....did you listen?.....wow, not only do they use the worst freakin voice actors out there, and pair them with characters that just DO NOT MATCH, but they use the same damn actors for every show!!.......watch the show a little more, trust me.....it will feel like your watching DBZ or case closed.....argh, and last but not least, the one thing that i was scared of the most........they butchered the theme......;(.........They take the screens for the first opening and play Ready Steady go with it instead.....Ready Steady Go is a great song nonetheless, but, I feel sorry for all the american viewers who will never get the chance to see the brilliance of the original theme "Melissa"......that song was the key to the show that made me hooked. *sigh*
Really dude, get over yourself and your snobbish, sub-nazi, hater attitude.
And Americans will get the chance to see the original opening and endings like Melissa when THEY RELEASE THE SHOW ON DVD IN THE US YOU SOT!
FMA is far from ruined. What ruins is it annoying anime snobs like you that whine about it instead of supporting the show airing on American TV.
