@Speedy Alchemist - Tell them the truth about anime and how you feel about their veiws, if they choose not to listen then thats their own fault. If you are almost 18..or any age for that matter, you have the right to hold your own opinions. My mom didnt really approve of manga at first because she didnt really know what it was but over time she got used to me liking it and found more about it and no longer has any problem with it. You have the right to your own opinion and it doesnt hurt to argue with your parents once in a while.

Just found out the price of the teaching course....even if I do only have to do the year its still a bit steep for me this year. I'll just carry on getting as much experience in the school as I can and get a part time job, try for next year. I know with 40 days experience I can at least put my name down as a tempory Teaching Assistant.

@Chiyo - Great idea!! I think you make an awesome teacher!! ^^

@Dickens - Hope you're feeling all better now. ^^

@jacksparrow589 - Good luck with your Midterm!!

@Forgiven - If I remember correctly, I don't think ἀρχή-san is a greade school teacher. ^^
But, he is a proud papa.... that I know. ^^
I think, currently among our members, Chiyo is the one teaching/volunteering at school. biggrin.gif

@Speedy Alchemist - wow. well if your almost 18 then i say go for it. i found out about fma when i was 11! well i eased the dvd's into my colection around the age of 11-12 until i had al the vols i was allowed to whatch (ie most) and soon i'll be able to watch all of the series on dvd. (seen all episodes when 11) the thing is i was terrified that my parents would find out. mum almost found out when my old comp froze. i had to say i was watching an amv for a fall out boy song....yeah. anywayz thats just ma parents. i don't think you should be so paranoid. if you live here in england you'd have learned the hard way about age ratings. the thing is fma dosen't go beyond 15 years of age here.

Yes I am working/volunteering in a Primary school (thats 4-11 year olds, I', specifically with 7,8 and 9 year olds). Glad Tomby remembered! (btw, you nearly had me there)

It's also my Birthday! They all sang to me (aww) but are playing up so much at the moment I feel I'ved aged 10 years in the past month! Wouldn't change it for the world though.

CTs

-I was prepared for Calculus, really! Practical application (who measures the volume of trees with Calculus, anyway?) is not my forte. Hopefully everything else will keep my grade up.

-I had to get two fillings today, specifically about an hour ago. I am still numb from my lower lip down to my chin and feeling... very not good. (Plus they had to give me 2x the dose of anisthesia on my left side because it didn't kick in in time enough.)

Happy birthday, Chiyo!

Tombow--Yeah, like I said, it wasn't fun. Not so much the "paralyzed" part as the "I'm really sensitive to anisthetic" part. Took 4 hours to wear off entirely. This, after "Oh, it'll only be about an hour." Yeah. Right. And I'm a pretty angry (and weepy) person on anisthetic. Even my brother avoided me for a while.

But I'm okay now, other than a dull ache at the injection sites, and even that's not too bad.

CTs

-Just finished my food/housing app for university next year!

-Spending the weekend at a friend's.

-3 days 'til FMA 2!

Just keeps gettin' better, huh?

Happy Birthday Chiyo~! (To think I almost missed it! ohmy.gif)

It was a good day:
- Got a lot of work done this morning: started/finished an English assignment, started/finished a cousin-project, and bought/reserved tickets for the Tactcile Dome at the Exploratorium. It takes very little for me to feel productive. =p
- Picked up my most recent Ethnic Lit. paper, and I got a very good grade. My graduate instructor said my 'construction of arguments is graceful and thorough.' That totally made my day. happy.gif
- Checked out the diploma frames at the student store. As I thought, the one I like looks better IRL than the one my mom likes. Will try to convince her later.
- Also found an exacto knife and craft glue at the student store. Will soon assemble the paper models that came with my ARIA S2, Part 2 set.
- Got home and found my March paycheck sitting in my chair.

I like Thursdays.

I just found out that I have to repeat the 9th grade. I'm only failing one class. wtf? *sigh* Anyways, on a happier note, me and my mom are going out tonight if her tooth isn't feeling that bad. She's getting her wisdom tooth pulled. But if she isn't feeling that good, then she said she would get me some subway or something. Smallville was pretty good. It was a little depressing, but just before the episode ended, Davis came back. I died a little inside when I thought he died. But then he came back just for me. smile.gif

Two more days till FMA season 2!!!!! HURRAY!

Thank-you Jack, Tomby and Mei.

Aaah the Easter Holidays at last. It being so long I forgot how excited I got at that prospect. Damn kids were climbing the walls today, only ever had to shout at this class once before but they were really pushing it today. It's hard to be angry when they've had such a disrupted week, but with building-work going on the last thing that place needed was any more noise.

mei - sounds like a gooooood Thursday
