Edward, Al, and Winry arrive at Rush Valley, the Mecca of Automails. In plain sight, there are rows of automail workshops throughout the city. As for the 3 visitors, they encounter a girl whose right arm and legs are made of a special automail armor...

Arriving at the military headquarters in Central, Ross hands Mustang a note from Ed requesting that the Eastern Headquarters pay for all his expenses.
Looking at a map with a location circled on it, Mustang is interrupted by a couple who snatch the map and leave.
Meanwhile, Ed, Al, and Winry have arrived in Rush Valley. Winry is so excited to see the plethora of auto mail shops lining the streets.
In a small shop behind all the hustle and bustle of the town lies an auto mail shop owned by a hardworking man who will only give his auto mails to those who need it.
Outside in the town square, two men are holding an auto mail arm wrestling competition. Many try but none seem to be able to win. After a girl loses a hard fought battle because of an alchemy trick, Ed decides to enter and easily defeats the champion.
Winry is delighted that the auto mail she created won the competition and is now able to buy all the parts she wanted with the prize money. Walking along the street, they are confronted by the two frauds from the arm wrestling competition.
Upset that Ed used alchemy to win, Winry clobbers both the frauds as well as Ed before running off to be alone.
At the phone booth where Hughes was killed, Mustang is brought Armstrong by Hawkeye. Armstrong informs Mustang that the military has an idea regarding Hughes's killers. However, he is not allowed to disclose that information. Mustang is still able to deduce that there are military personel involved with the Philosopher's Stone.
Back at Rush Valley, Winry finds the girl who lost the arm wrestling contest in a park. Curious, Winry asks why the girl got auto mail limbs and discovers that she lost her limbs in a train accident. The man who took her off the streets gave her and arm and legs. He name is Dominique.
Still angry at Ed, Winry tells her to beat a State Alchemist who uses auto mail. Unable to ask him to repair her arm, Paninya brings Winry to the shop so that Winry can fix her arm.
At the shop, Dominique walks in on Paninya and winry. Immediately, Winry introduces herself and Winry Rockbell of Rizenbul. Judging by Dominique's reaction, he is an acquaintance of Pinako.
The next day, Winry returns to Ed and Al. Showing his silver clock at Winry's request, Ed has it stolen from him by Paninya. Winry tells him to fight her. If he can catch her before she reaches the pawn shop, he wins.
Ed dashes off after Paninya and catches her in no time. He tells he that he cannot lost with his auto mail.
Dominique tells Paninya that an auto mail isn't just a machine; it's her arm and legs. She remembers how truely appreciative she was she she was able to walk again.
General Hakuro pays Mustang a visit to tell him that his transfer request may not be rescinded. Mustang has made a career choice to head to the top, taking Hawkeye with him.
Back at the hotel, Al arrives with bad news.
